Bright orange certainly has my vote.
I've always been a gr8 fan of the NSRI , Asterix & Obelix and the Celts (mostly orange/ginger hair) .

Somehow, inner beauty seams more exciting than the outer shell.

I'd like to have the skill, patience and finesse to do 5% of all what you did. (And I am not close of being a n00b)

Extremely impressive and clean. This project honestly impresses me more than a 6 stage cascade...

    absolutely, awesomely, amazing!!!!!!!!!!

it truly is astounding what you can accomplish when you take the time to read and understand what you want to do and the hve the patience to plan and experiment untill you get the results that you want. i just read this whole thread and i am very impressed with you dedication to perfection. amazing job so far. i only hope i can achieve half of the results you have so far. i am currently in the reading and understanding stage. keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone for your compliments! I'm working on a few side projects and should have some pic results soon. The phase exchanger system is going to be a very tight fit, but it will work. I had to move the Goliath system this weekend to my garage and this thing must weigh about 300 lbs. Hope when I'm finished, there is not alot of moving this beast.

My wife ask me this weekend....will the "BIG Computer" use alot of electricity? I told her....No Hun, no more than the small computer you use. I will pay for that comment, once the power bill arrives.

For what it is worth, I use a similar type of chamber to seal in my motherboard to prevent condensation. As a cover gas I used CO2, mainly because it denser than air and cheap.

To purge the chamber of air, I had the CO2 piped in from the bottom of the chamber with the regulator set at about 1-2 PSIG and a purge valve of the type found on air compressor tanks located on the top of the chamber. I just let in some CO2 with the purge closed and then give the mixture some time to settle, open the purge. I repeat the process until I feel comfortable with the gas content of the chamber. During normal operation I leave the CO2 fill line open with the regulator set to about .5 PSIG.

The reason I bring this up is the pressure and vacuum you mention are kind of extreme. Square tanks such as the chamber in your build (or mine for that matter) don't react to pressure very well and tend to deform. I have pressure tested square fuel oil tanks with 1/4 in steel constuction up to 20 PSIG and seen temporary but significant deformation, just to give you an example of what can happen. The vacuum pressure too could have similar effects since you could reach -15 PSIG.

Just my 2 cents, you might want to consider skipping the vacuum and just trying a purge system with a pressure just over atmospheric. As a added benefit, CO2 has a better coefficient of thermal conductance than N2.

Yes, there will be many more updates to come. I'm currently working on several things at the same time, making condenser coil for SS, modify case to mount SS, modify wiring harness panel for evaporator to pass through to inside of cooling chamber and building heat load tester rated up to 600 watts. I want to test several different CrossFlow evaporators to find the best design, before I complete the installation of the SS. I'm afraid this might be a project that will never end. After everything is up and running, I will start working on the exterior of the case with view windows, exhaust fans and final paint.

I hope everyone will have the patients to see the final stage of this build. So, stay tuned to more results.

Your build is incredible. Huge skill set. This is the stuff that wins competitions, gets sponsorships, and brings fame & fortune.

I have to ask, with the MoBO chamber being air tight l why not make it a straight chill box? Add some heat sinks to the components and freeze the entire inside of that chamber? Seems like with what your running would be more than do able? Though I am not sure about the difference in temps possible by a chill box

The cooling chamber alone, would not remove the heat from all the components. It would be like putting the components in a small refrigerator, which wouldn't work. The cooling chamber will help cool, but most of the heat will be removed with low temp liquid loop for the GPU's and direct die for the CPU.

I had to put the build on hold, due to I've been working out of town for the past 6 weeks. I hope to get the project started again, after the Holidays.

Hope everyone has Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I must say after skimming this whole thread, that you have put together an amazing project. From conceptualization to execution, nothing but straight A+ marks. Well done and best of luck with the rest of the build, I will be watching for completion!!
