Don't accidentally move your case too far or . . . . LOL.
Nice job and I like where you stuck the rad. Maybe if it was under your desk .. . . .. heater?

Looks great! You will barely notice that the rad is there (just don't forget it IS there!)![]()

Ah yes, you see i have a ducted heating vent under the desk, so the whole area under there is nice and warm in winter. Not quite the location for the rad, i'm sure you'll agree! By having it on the outside, it doesn't suck any warm air.
Lol i'll try not to! That's what the BP disconnects are for.![]()
interesting way of mounting the pump & the res...tho i'm not that crazy about mounting the rad away from the case. but anyhow, everything still looks good!![]()
Great ingenuity! Cute setup, although one wonders why you would put yourself through the pains of a small case lol
I am eagerly awaiting the next set of pics! Looking very good twwen!![]()
Looks great twwen2!
Some of those pics look like I took them! lol
I think I now have an idea on how to use my "spare" PA120.3 while I wait for the AUD to settle down and let me afford a Ascension BDS-Extension.
emu
P.s. I do have to wonder what the thinking was for SFF and external rad not mounted to the case.

BTW
Got my learners permit today and first lessons tomorrow!
did you get it when the Xchange was 98c to the USD? Cos that was a much better deal than now (71c)
I do understand! I'm looking at mine wondering If I can hook it up for use when I am at home and disconnect it when I go to a LAN? That way I can have low temps and low noise at home and at a lan who cares about the noise!
More pics please!![]()
You got PM!
Yeah thankfully i bought most of the wc gear back when the dollar was like 97US cents.Lost a bit through paypal though.
I thought i better clarify something. A few have made comments to the tune of "why didn't you mount the rad on the case". I completely understand that this being a SFF case, people presume it to be a LAN build. However this is not the case! (sorry, that was real lame)
I have never been to a LAN and probably won't in the forseeable future, so the case will most likely never have to move. Thus, portability is not a concern. Hopefully that clears things up somewhat.![]()
D= not a lan build. Blasphemy GRRR
I have been to 2 lans in my life, the ones were you pay and use their pcs. It was long and I was tired at 2am and my reactions were soooo bad. So yeah. Not too keen on lans but that's just me XD.

twwen2's hacking of precious Lian-Li case continues...
You guys should remember from a few pages back that i removed the HDD cage. I then mounted the HDD in one of the drive bays using a Scythe barcket some of you are familiar with.
However unbeknown to me, the bracket actually stopped the drive-bay cover from installing properly. This meant that when i put the case side panel back on, there would be an ugly gap.
So i had to do some more metalwork!![]()
Here's the HDD installed in the bay. Note my sweet MS paint skills!
This one shows the bay cover unable to go in properly
The customary masking tape to protect the lovely aluminum
And the final cut
Now watch it slide in
And without the ugly tape
How awesome is that!!
I can't believe i actually did it without stuffing it up.
*****
Nice job on that drive bay cover! I was going to say that if you botched it up, I have a massive box of those things from all the TJ07s I dissect.
the rad location is an interesting choice - at the very least it will be a good burglar deterrent.
Looking forward to more updates!![]()
Nice work bro! Did you just use a hacksaw for the surgery? Looks great! Keep em' coming!

hi thomas. how are you liking those feser uv tubes? what's the smallest bend can they do and at what length? sorry if my question is a bit... unstructured.
i'm just thinking of going colored tubes rather than colored coolants... though i'm not quite sure if the fesers/primochill colored tubes are as bendable as tygons.
thanks!
Well, firstly i can whole-heartedly reccomend the Primochill Pro-LRT. I have the 3/8 x 5/8 clear stuff, so the bend radius is as good as its gonna get. It really is great stuff.
The feser tubing is not up to scratch i'm afraid. I have the 3/8 x 1/2 in orange, and it's just horrible. It's stiff, kinks easy and is just nasty to work with. Now before you go and say "that's cos it's thin wall", i also have some Pro-LRT in the same dimensions and it's miles better. A world of difference i assure you. It will still kink if you push it far enough, but it's soooooo much better than the feser stuff.
I'll try to get some pictures up for you.
Haha i see. Yes well they will surely look at it and go "OMG WTF is that!!!"

A new EK res!
In the previous pics i've shown my EK-RES 250. I was gonna put it on top of the case, mounted horizontally. However i really would prefer to mount it vertically, i understand it makes the bleeding process much simpler.
The problem is that the 250 is just so long that it puts too much weight on the pump bracket and mobo tray, plus it sticks out above the top of the case and looks ugly.
So obviously there was only one solution... Buy another smaller res!!!
But what about the 250? Well i couldn't just let it sit around, so i sold it too Switch8, my mate. He bought it off me for the price of my new EK-RES 100, which i got from flabbergast for $48AUD, the last one in stock!!!
Enjoy the pics
And some other inside shots with some tubing happening:
And the wait for the BP rotary fittings continues.
I actually gave up on the RMA and ordered some from sidewinder, they should be here within the week.![]()
