    The only time you need to worry about mixing metals is if your water is touching it. That is a clamp that goes outside of your compression barbs to clamp it. It never touches water, so you dont need to be worry about it.
    ...because Koolance says it's all Nickel plated brass. If it does get some water on it, it could start rusting and wind up looking like crap.

    Rodney RMA'd those and we warrantied them no problem =).

    In regards to the steel compression fitting. Generally, we only describe materials on the website that contact water. If we used brass compression fittings they would not survive being tightened with pliers (which many people though it is not necessary).

    Yeah i use them, and havent had problems with them yet.

    When R3 posted that pic the first time I post saying that the fittings probably got wet and the water with rusting debris from the outer ring covered the actual brass fitting, giving us the impression that the fitting is corroded.
    I had the same results when mounting my koolance 3/8 on a RAD. I had them wet and after two days the outer ring started to show some rust. I just cleaned with some alchool and use WD40 to protect it. The fitting was perfect after some cleaning. Under normal use the fitting never get any rust.
