Received an additional heatsink for the DFI JR's chipset. Used an HR-05-SLI/IFX. With a little force the board still fit's in the QPack2 case.

First impression is the temps dropped round 10-15°C. Max I reached was close to 60°C.
A much better solution than an additional fan on the chipset/pwm.

Won't hear me moaning about temps from now.

Now all we need is "sharper" BIOS

Had a few probs to get FID's working because i had to reset the bios. Finaly it worked that way.

    1. Configured memory speed and voltage and disabled nb power management on the "advanced chipst feature" page. Applid and Rebooted into bios.
    2. Disabled CnQ and pick an cpu multi. Applied and rebooted into bios.
    3. With F9 enabled settings set cpu multi back to auto and modified ht multi and nb fid. Applied and rebooted fine now with 9xht and nb multi. Should also work for higher multis the only difficult thing is to get the fid's working.

to tell the truth one of the reasons I've switched DFI 790FX for ASUS one at the beginning of Phenom era was this "recreation" wit the BIOS... If I find time to hassle again, i might try this on JR... BTW I have 8750 Black Edition

well actually I've switched 9950 140W with this CPU! It works like charm. i love its low temps and as soon I get some more time I'll try it under passively cooled Ninja rev.B ofcourse OC'ed

    in other rig I have ASUS 790FX+ "white" 8750 also o'ced but little lower - 3GHz (250x12)...

won't bull you, as soon as I get Deneb I'll forward this trippie to girlfriend but 'till then I think that 8750 BE is the best buy AMD CPU ATM!

Obviously I love unlocked blackies... yeah I've become spoiled old O'Cer who hates digging out last possible stable MHz on reference HTT it's so much easer to live with unlocked multies!

Hi Bro, should work but will block one pcie slot. It's too wide for the pwm section ~ 4-5mm.
