Wow, I totally forgot about this. Well, no more schedules.

Anyway, finally added a list of top runs by XS users to the first post. Please add a screenshot if you like to be added. You can also compare your results to a much bigger database over here:

    Fritz 9 Chess Benchmarks

Now let's see the big boys come play and XS take over the top .

Edit: P.S. Am I the only one seeing Axon still on title? Can any of the Mods please remove it? Thanks!

Anybody have Phenom X3/X4 results? Trying to decide whether a K10 upgrade is close enough to K8 to make it worthwhile compared to Penryn, taking into account the cost of the extra mb.

This is my first run that I have ever posted on XS since getting back into performance computing. It feels good to be back. This is a stock baseline run. BIOS at defaults, and mem at 1333. It is the rig in my sig, but the memory is not running full speed because of BIOS defaults. I just wanted to do a test run and see what it would do, and I was quite pleased with the result. These will definitely go higher with some clocking and tweaking. The benchmark was run on Vista Ultimate 64.

That's nice. I like these benchmarks and programs that fully utilize Multithreading. That is a distinct difference. I'm gonna do a little work with mine this evening. These i7's have to be the most powwerful multithreaded CPU's ever developed. I am so glad I waited on these now. After seeing these scores i would've been very disapoitned had I gone the Yorkie route. Ther stuff I need the real brute power for is multithreaded apps. This benchmark is showing clearly how massively powerful these CPU's really are.

    OC'd a little Bit @3.8GHz Tweaked Timings

I've done a bit of OC'ing now. Also tweaked the timing a little on the RAM. Seems it likes it.

I did a new Run. I changed the clocks slightly. I lowered Multi and raised BClk. It's now 155x25 with 1.28125 BIOS vCore. CPU seems to like that. This bench responds to BClk it seems. Memory is slightly lower than rated. I'm still weary of messing with Vtt yet, but in time I will. I also want to get rid of that RAM and it's why I was selective on the screens I show on it. Messing with that company is bad news.

This is my 1st Run on this CPU at 4GHz! WoooHooo! Those temps are scary on stock cooling. I've got to get water on this thing. I did that on 1.35v BIOS vCore. This Chip is friggen awesome man. It'll run a Chess bench at 4GHz on stiock cooling and not throttle, and will do it at low vCore! I love this thing!

has this thread died or has the op simply not had time to update as yet?

I'd gladly take over the thread if the op has other obligations.

Ofcourse if the op is planning an update, then forget what I just posted

Hi, Yes, sorry for lack of updates, I was planning to do it already some time ago, when certain things popped up and really distracted me, until I totally forgot about it, but now hopefully I will be able to do it much more often.

So, in accordance to that, Finally updated the list (took best result from each one), and we have a new #1! Good job Rol-Co.

Movieman wer'e all watching for the comeback now.

Good job everyone and thanks for the results Keep 'em coming, List should be updated much more frequently now.
