ACC can cause reboot issues for some reason. I've experienced the problem on both a Gigabyte MA790GP and an ASUS M3A79-T. I also tried tweaking the ACC settings on the cores, but it didn't seem to work for my kit, so I just set it on 'auto'........works fine now........boots every time.

I've read the water cooling section any time any one mention the name they go off on people like it's the Antichrist of water cooling lol

anyways I want to know something about that rad can fit more then 2 fans on it ? for push pull.

Thxs River Ricer if i use auto it stuck at 3.0 ghz with one core on the cpu out to lunch i have to bump it to +10% in ACC for the weak core to run stable over 3.0 ghz .I think this is why my 9850BE never ran good with adding more volts trying to raise clock speed up that one core would just go unstable bring down the rest of the cpu with it .Now that i have ACC to work with it helping me to bring the that one weak core inline with the 3 good ones . I been running 3.107ghz all day playing games than doing some stability testing why crusing the forums . I'am also running highter volts on the cpu (1.45) than i have in the pass i think that may have been the key (I have been a :banana::banana::banana::banana: when it came to running higher volts on my air cool cpu)

Dude it is weird. I notice when I bump acc to +6 on all cores, I get BSOD on boot up and I restart. Don't know if its related.

I have a 4870 at 790/1100. Jack, why don't try doing a super Pi run and a 3dmark cpu run to see what scores you get compared to me???

    hehehehehehe.

bro yeah you can do push and pull, it has holes on both sides of the rad.

Will do... when I find the time... ... It is odd on the OGL score, I am using a 4870 X2, but not near the clocks you are ... that explains some of it, but darn... there is a huge delta there as well -- but, frankly, I don't think that matters to me as much, rather just seeing where that odd single thread score is coming from.

    hang tight.

    Edit:
Ok -- SP1M 29.656 which is right on top of yours....

    Installing 3DM06 now.

Yup ... I matched NB at 11x (2200 MHz) and core at 13 (2.6 GHz). One other question, do you have C&Q turned on?

EDIT: 3DM06 CPU score 3598, you got over 3800... but this I can explain pretty easily, I am under Vista 64 so i expect that discrepancy here.

    C&Q? What is that?

Oh and yeah vista does give you a loss in performance, I had vista and I saw it for myself hehe. Well remember some applications I would think Vista is maybe better optimized for Quad Cores, so that can also explain why in some tests you might score better than me.

Chicken Patty: You may have mentioned your settup earlier, but it would probably make it alot easier for folks to help, if you edited your sig showing your gear and current OS.

    Just a suggestion...

I tried to see what is the lowest I can go with default voltage, well here it is, ACC is off!

    3.0 GHz @ 1.232v (stable)

Ok, up at 3.2 GHz, so far all I have done is play around with my memory timings, check it out

Try lowering "Max Read Latency" using Memset. You should be able to get it down to at least 50 and it will give a pretty decent performance boost.

You can also raise that if you start having trouble with high IMC/NB clocks.

BTW: Thanks for the sig edit...

no problem dude. My RAM doesn't like tighter timings, It crashed shortly after, I put the timings back to SPD and the computer is fine now. I don't want to push the voltage past 2.3v neither, I don't have money right now for new RAM hehe. I will be getting some new one soon though, so it'll only get better.

You know I have a similar problem with high Mem V's on my board....

I'm running 1066 Reapers that are rated @ 2.1-2.3v's. I tried everything in that range and eventually discovered that the higher I went the more unstable it became. Long story short (after MUCH testing), I found that the optimal Mem voltage on my machine was 2.0v..

I'm not sure what the cause is, board overvolting or maybe a weak module, but it might be something worth trying out on your system.

to run them at 1066 I need 2.1v at 2.0 or anything lower it won't boot. Unless it takes 2.4v??? Thats the most i'm willing to go, if it don't work with 2.4v, its going back to spd timings and 2.1v

Thats cool bro, glad you were able to hit that right out of the box. When I had my SB600 board I was able to do 3.15 Ghz out of the box, but that was with my 9850, which was one hell of a chip.
