Err, no requests for benches please. If marks are leaked, jobs will be at stake!

Serious. (I read Chinese, and that was the OP's request)

Also might we ask what temp that was running at?

For all we know, it could be at 100 degrees celcius and why must it always be in Chinese. I'm American I'm not smart enough to learn Chinese lol.

CPU-Z must be showing the wrong voltage because in the link in the last page shows a pic of cpu-z with the CPU at stock speeds with the same voltage reading of 1.6V.

the google translator did an ok job, but so many weird sentences that made no sense.

either way this is great news to me. i just want one that runs 3.5-3.6 at a low safe voltage on my water loop. now can we get some damn pricing AMD. i hope they give these out at low clock speeds so the prices will be sub 300$ sure it would be nice to see them put out 3.0ghz chips at a high price to get back some money, i would like to see their stock prices go up for once

It could be or the guy decided to change it down and not change the voltage...which would be odd but a tease to all who want to know normal voltages.

He might not be able to leak that either.

I can't wait for AMD to step back up and be competitive in the Enthusiast market once again. It's been too long.

I loved having the choice between chips, seing which ways people swayed and why, and of course, the price competitiveness Is that a word?

the 45nm version runs at 1.24v stock? is that high considering the 65nm runs stock volts in that range aswell?

Might also be the upper range too. Like the q6600 has a range from 0.85 to 1.35, or something like that, and mine is a 1.325v chip so it is near the top (and it shows too by its overclock lol ). It is prepro as well, that might be part of it. Also remember being something new CPUZ may not be reporting correctly.

IIRC the OP is an MSI engineer(not sure if he is a software or hardware engineer though). The C0 chip is probably the one from the same batch as the one at itocp forum and later at hardspell. The C1 came some time later,so he has both of these now.I suspect that this close to launch he has a C2 too.

100C... I think the chip woldnt run anymore. I think, since no obvious CPU load is present, that it ran at 40~45C if ambient was 20~25C. Not sure though, just a guess.

And you dont have to learn Chinese really, in anyway there will be always someone able to translate it.

Although... I want to learn either Chinese or Japanese

On the last page of that forum guy called Jenex is showing CPU-Z screens from a Deneb CPU running DDR3!

Of course we can't be sure if they are legit, but same can be told about all the other SS.

Can't wait for my new CPU!

That post reveals one very interesting tidbit, apart from DDR3(if legit of course).
It list an ES clock speed of 2.6Ghz with a NB clock at 2.2Ghz, 10% over what we have now with 65nm Agena. So i guess we can expect more on the NB clock front with Deneb, even if we have to wait for AM3 boards, which is good news.

    High voltage FTW!

Must guys don't even dare to run there 45 chips higher then 1.5v lol.
Yay, lets buy Deneb and reach only 4ghz with 1.6v. I hope these chips will do better voltage wise. For benching I don't care about voltage at all, but for 24/7 i do

Anyone know what we're going to be at for stock voltage on 45nm?
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

You can be sure of NB clock increase

As for Deneb I can't say for sure but I will predict 2.4-2.6GHz for AM3 parts.

Here is some very old info I've got from AMD.

If Opteron gets 2.2GHz NB then desktop parts can only be faster .

This is very exciting news.......I havent felt this excited to get a AMD cpu since the old xp2500 Barton on Nvidia NF7 days. I mean Ive upgraded regularly since then but only out of necessity and not just because there was something out there that I just had to have. This is definitely a cpu I just got to get if this info is true....go AMD!
