    d9jnm overclock

umh i am testing a kit of g.skill with d9jnm.

    i found i can bench @ 960 7-7-7-21 with 2,1v and fully stable 960 8-8-8-20 with 1,9v!!

but the problem is i cannot go more than 970 at any cas... i tryed 7 , 8 and cannot go higher 970 with any voltage also.

i have a R.E. there is something i can do to try ?
vNB i tryed up to 1,65v.

I would hazard a guess that you are at the limit of the ram, it is not renowned for overclocking at all. You should be able to do ~900 MHz at CAS 5, but more than that is not likely. Increasing CL to 6, 7 and 8 when at ~960 is just going to lose you performance compared to ~900 CL 5.

I'd invest in some more ram that overclocks better, DDR2 is quite cheap these days compared to back in the day.

    ur thinking of hnl/hnm

the jnm is the same chip as the jnl, so u should be good for a little more what board do u have, if ur x48 then 1.65V on the NB is low for that kind of benching

before adjusting skew try to raise NB DDRVref, DDR3 ChannelA Vref, DDR3 ChannelB Vref one or two steps higher

Not on the same board, but I can say each channel should get different skew.

like I said, I have a different board.

skew on that board is easy to test, as you adjust either way, it will not boot, obviously midpoint is most stable.

Your D9JNM like 7-6-5-X ? Interesting.. But 2,2v no healthy for JNM..
