    MACCI this is a good idea,i get alot of guys myself asking where,and to be honest i send some to you since i knew who had the UK in your back pocket..LOL

    the hose i am not to sure about.it doesnt give me the compound of the inner tube used in the hose.the inner tube is the key in rubber hoses.it must be chemicaly compatable and have a permeation rating.it may be fine.but i just can not confirm yes or no.

    lol... did I have my MACCI disguise on AGAIN?! shucks bawss...

    Could i be cheeky and suggest stickyin this...? I'll keep it maintained with all UK sources etc I come across fer everything. If users from other countries could start their own thread for the same thing it'd benefit all of us interested in DIY...

    Maybe create a subforum for static info such as this? Call it "Known Regional Parts & Supplies Links" and within there have each countries' thread... figure amongst the spectrum we have here it could form a very comprehensive database...

    And could ya edit the topic and stick "in UK" on the end as these guys only ship in Uk at the mo...

    Not really...

    in high temperatures it thickens, in low temperatures it liquefies

    Ok, I had some problems with vasaline but here is my suggestion;

    Dielectric Grease and other Coatings

    You can get this from http://www.farnell.co.uk

    3821407 PLASTIC COAT SPRAY 200ML Volume 200 ml £3.55

    537019 SILICONE COMPOUND 100G DOW CORNING (DC4) £3.60

    3821456 COLDKLENE DEGREASER 200ML Volume 200 ml

    You get a clear waterproof coating for the PCB, a dielectric grease for the socket and a cleaner (recommend for removal of clear coating)

    The beauty of this is you get everything you need to condensation-proof the board and socket, farnell has a minumum order for credit cards, £10 before VAT, and this comes to £10.11 (took me a while to find the products that would take me to 10 quid) and then you get free delivery. Total cost £11.88

    What do you think?

    Neoprene/Armaflex Sheet

    Ok, i found some neoprene well its Armaflex Class 0 sheet which I think is just as good. you can get it here;

    http://www.gmmodels.co.uk/acatalog/R...cessories.html

    Its 250mm*250mm and 10mm thick (I emailed the guy for dimensions because it doesnt tell you on the website) and costs £1.74. Postage is £3.75 Royal Mail Special Delivery (If ordered via site,
    just make a note on shipping method and they will send it 1st class post so its cheaper).

    Copper Stock

    Here is a link to get copper for making evaps, they sell by the cm in the forms of round bars, square bars, rectangular bars and others. Basically all you need to make an evap if you have the tools to construct it.

    I have this thing about postage costing more that what I am buying, it upsets me
    Don't shop online for small items then. Wait til you need a few items and order more at once. Makes shipping more economic and was the way in which all Online Stores operated 3 yrs ago... you never got an order for "a fan" thru the online store. It was always for a mixture of parts to cut down shipping. But really, for the amount of man hours you're spending to save pennies you may as well just get it from the easiest source instead of the cheapest.

    I prefer to sit at the computer and search for websites than walk about the town looking for stores so i guess I shouldn't begrudge the shipping charge as it saves me alot of walking about, that will be the laziness part of me comming out. Also once i get into a search for something, im like a dog with a bone and I wont give up. I could be searching for hours and not notice the time go by, thats just the way I am.

    This is true, but it saves everyone else from searching so once the hard work is done there is no need to do it again

    I found a source for low temp gases while looking for R23, maybe worth a look. Expensive though, probably because its disposable bottles and high purity.

    Are you in UK? If so whereabouts? What did you do with the CO2? was it compressed gas, liquid or dryice? How did you apply it to cooling your cpu?
