Best Quad Core CPU Water Block For Me?

It's time to upgrade my water cooling. I have atm a XSPC Xtreme CPU block, and I am now looking for something that can keep cool a lapped Q6600 @ 3.6ghz. My set up:

    XSPC Delta chipset block
12V Laing DDC-1T Ultra w/XSPC Acrylic Pump Top
    XSPC single bay reservoir
    Black Ice GT Stealth 240
    2 x Yate Loon 140mm 1000RPM fans
    Feser One

The XSPC Delta V3 has just come out, as well as the Aqua Computer Cuplex HD, OCZ HydroFlow HF-MK1 and Swiftech Apogee GTZ. Are these better than the D-TEK FuZion V2 and EK-Supreme?

Is there any reviews out there that compares all these? I haven't found any yet.
Mobo: DFI LP X48 LT T2R | Bios 12/24 | XSPC Delta Chipset
    CPU: Intel Q9550 E0 @ 3.6ghz (424 x 8.5) | Swiftech GTZ

I went with the Swiftec Apogee GTZ as it matches the UK supreme in performance but has a much better mounting system, plus it looks sexier.

I have been reading separate reviews, and the mounting system of the OCZ and Swiftech is very appealing. The OCZ is less restrictive than the Swiftech, EK and D-Tek, but seems to perform slightly worse.

Agree with Lloyd. Get the V2 with no nozzles and you'll have plenty of flow for more blocks on the loop.....and one of the best blocks on the market.

If your really that concerned with restriction, I'd lose that rad for something better flowing, maybe a MCR.

It seems the V2, Supreme, and GTZ are pretty much the 3 contenders and within minute temps of each other.
Pick whatever you like best. Even after the results show gtz beating the supreme, I still picked up the supreme because of it gorgeous looks and great build quality.

See my Rig 3 i'm using that rad and a Black Ice extreme with a DDC 3.2 18watt cooling everything and i'm getting great temps

IMO I'll give a try to the AC Cuplex HD, otherwise, my Ybris ACS works great with a Q6600 B3 @ stock.

@ RRR he wants to cool the NB too, if it was just the CPU i would have said the EK Supreme aswell

Really? But what sort of flow is he going to get? Not sure if Martin has those parts in his flowmeter.

In his setup i'd feel more comfortable recommending him the Fuzion V2, but that's me

    uhh...

the last time i checked a chipset block, it wasnt restrictive at all.

Unless were talking the new bitspower and evga chipset blocks.

I always watercool CPU -> NB since those two are usually connected on overclocking. Keep GPU solo on its own side.

    i like my supreme(s):

I chose the rad because of the thickness, I need something thin to fit It seems it is really down to personal choice. I keep diggin and reading more reviews. Will it make a difference that my CPU is lapped?

I like the supreme or GTZ for single block loops, but for multiple block loops you might consider something less restrictive like the Fuzion V2 or XSPC Delta V3. I guess it sort of depends how well you want the NB cooling to be. If a couple of degrees doesn't matter much for the NB, you'd probably be fine with any of them. But if the NB cooling was something you wanted to do extremely well and to do that meant higher flow rates, you might consider some of the others.

The Fuzion V2 as well as the XSPC Delta V3 are better in the restriction department.

But even with that, I still think there's alot of other criteria you should consider that are personal. They all have slightly different looks, barb compatibility, cost, accessories, mounting mechanisms, motherboard compatibility, etc.

Chances are there's not really any one that's going to net you a higher overclock end result, so it's more personal preference than anything. Performance differneces are pretty small anymore.

I havn't finished all the block reviews I've recently tested, but I can tell you of all 15 blocks tested, there is less than 3-4 degrees difference between all of them thermally on a Q6600. There are huge differences in restriction, very small differences in thermal performance, and significant differences in all the other criteria you might consider important.

I still think the area to gain the most anymore is with extra radiator/fan heat exchange capacity...not much left to be had in the area of block performance.

In XS fashion, I would recommend the D-Tek FuZion V2, the D-Tek FuZion V1, the EK Supreme Acrylic, the EK Supreme Acetal, the Danger Den MC-TDX, the Swiftech Apogee GTZ, the Swiftech Apogee GTX with Copper Top, the Aquacomputer Cuplex XT Dual Impact, the XSPC Edge Acrylic, the XSPC X20 Delta V2, and all other cpu blocks which I fail to have included (very sorry, not to offend any party).

Any omission from the above list is very sincerely regretted and I apologize in advance if I offended anybody with the list above. Wouldn't want to infringe on anybody's self-esteem.

Let's all hold hands and sing a happy song together.

According to Martin's testing though, it seems the XSPC Edge really holds out in thermal and restriction. Why haven't more people used that block / tried stepping it / etc, etc?

The edge has been discontinued, I didn't even bother to test it on the quad. The Delta V3 is the new replacement.

I'll get you some results pretty soon. I need to write up the Enzo Saphire, then the XSPC Delta V3 amongst a couple of others.

    Sure as hell he could!

    I'm setting up my loop with the Supreme, EK-NB S-Max, EK-FC 4870 and PA120.3 all on a DDC3.2.

    Restriction FTW!

Uhm, so far everyone has posted their favorites, and the thread is sort of going nowhere. You will have to choose your own waterblock based on your own preferences. In a multi-block loop, most people prefer an Apogee GTZ or Fuzion V2. However, there is no substitute for an Ek Supreme paired with a strong pump. I would personally call an Ek Supreme because it can be paired with the NB just fine, with a good strong pump. If you plan on using one loop for the Ek Supreme though that is best. My final vote goes for Ek.

well neither is the rad (any for that matter) But you didn't jump on Waterlogged for suggesting a different rad on the basis of restriction???

And yeah i like the (my) Supreme too, in it's place, but i believe the OP has a 10watt DDC, so i have to suggest the Fuzion V2! And it depends on the Chipset block as to how restrictive it is, I can't say how restrictive the OP's NB block is but....
