I don't really think the market for these will be larger than I can handle, and if I sell them myself, I can keep the costs down, Right now, it can easily be the cheapest D5 pump head on the market. I will likely want to find a retailer in the EU for these, if they prove to be successful in the US.

Please let us know when you've got some to sell.

p.s. just searched for your ebay store and was unable to locate it using your forum ID.

I'm still making fixtures and working out the CNC code. As long as I don't have any major bugs in the new code, I should have the first small batch done in a week or so. When I get them done, if they're OK I'll have a few in my ebay store Detroit Thermo. You can also search for me Climatepro on ebay.

Sorry Walt, my batches aren't quite that big...

I'll post some pics here when they are finished. I'm building the "deluxe" pumps with some vibration isolation for the first batch. I'll get one finished early without waiting for the fixtures to show the design.
You see what you did there? You got between me and the coffee, now this creates a SITUATION!

Is the wife getting instruction on swapping blanks and setting up production runs. LOL She might have too trade the kitchen apron in for a Machinist Apron.....

XS needs more quality manufactures that are fair businessmen & support their product.

Hi there, Any news on this update.
I am really interested what you have come up with as we are also developing new revision
It should be some time before we make it...

I hope you are not writing CNC code manually, as CNC code for this kind of product is made in 1 hour maximum.

Balderdash! Your not a true machinist unless you write your code manually.

It's been only slowly progressing, a bit of life has intervened... What was left of hurricane Ike knocked down part of a (8ft diameter!) weeping willow in my backyard, so I've been chainsawing willow in my free time instead of milling delrin

and yeah, I write my G-code manually old school...
the code really isn't a big deal, besides the volute, it's a simple part. Currently I'm working on the fixtures, good workholding and efficient process flow are a must for the amount of time I can spend on this. If I can't make it efficiently, I won't be able to make it.

D5.. It's ugly and fat, but reliable.
DDC is pretty and small, but will die on you and cost you more money in the end

There's the EK top which rocks and then the 2 identical Koolance tops (1 Aluminum, 1 Acetal). With OP's top that makes 3 and we need a shootout!

Eddie, Let's not turn this into one of "those" threads...besides, your lacking current proof.
