you try runnin it on 333/800 strap ? less voltage needed on that strap
btw none of my d9gkx can do 1200+ on my dfi boards even with 2.35v

I am on the 300/800 strap. I am running my FSB at 500x8. I just ordered a 2x1GB set of OCZ Reaper PC2-9600 from Newegg. There seems to be some success with this brand on DFI P35. So we will see how that goes. I might just sell my d9gkx memory.

I ask you about it because of I had some troubles.
    I pass IntelBurnTest, Prime95, OCCT, SuperPi32M and DOS MemTest86+ with no errors at 2,06(actual)Vdimm 1200MHz 5-5-5-15 PL=8.
But I need 2,12(actual) to be stable with Windows MemTest.

Got my non-Dominator Corsair XMS 8500 kit today, version 1.3. Pulled the heatspreaders, they're GMH. Was kind of hoping they'd be GKX but maybe they will play nicely with my P35 LT T2R.

[EDIT]However, it seems the half of the heat spreader I removed won't stay put anymore. Any ideas on how to get it back fixed? lol[/EDIT]

You could consider using foldback clips:

Very strong and you don't have to use any adhesive which makes future removal a lot easier as well.

I decided to remove the spreaders from both sticks and run em naked. I may invest in a better set of heat spreaders later.

with active cooling it's better not to have spreaders anyway

Woa man, really great with those Teams, they are really cool mems.

Okey, I find out a friend of mine that have Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR2-8500 BL12864AA1065.16FD5 for selling, wich actually I will bought, what kind of chip they use and what will be the max voltaje that I can achive with them?

    Thank you a lot guys

.16FD5's = very nice, usually of not always D9 GMH.

Same voltage rules with any D9 though, 2.3v + is getting risky, 2.4v+ for short bench only, 2.5v+ you will shorten their lifespan greatly and 2.6v+ is scary territory. How much they are damaged from voltage is dependent on many factors, like motherboard, psu etc. Read the D9 degradation thread for a discussion about it.

I run 2.00v for 24/7 on my TeamGroup, and 1.97v 24/7 on my CellShock.

Thanks for the info Cryptik! Okey then I will read that thread so I can make a good OC without killing my new babys :P

The guy that actually got them told me that he can do a stable 24/7 of 1200 with 2.0, so if I have luck I will achive the same result in the TP I45. As soon that I got them I will post if I can get those results!

I just picked up a 2.3v Patriot pc9200 kit - snagged it on ebay - pretty darn sure that the 2.3v kits are GKX - I know the 2.1v Viper kits are/were NOT D9 of any fashion - paid a paltry $55 for them new so we'll see

I just started to play with another kit of Crucial Anniversary Series I had stashed away and this one doesn't want to do much more than 500mhz - total bummer - had one kit i burned out on an Asus P5N-e SLI board (that board killed sooo man nice kits of ram) wish I had another kit of that pretty blue stuff that did 600+

I'm in love with this new CellShock DDR2-1000 4-4-4-12 kit I received today. So far looking good, haven't tried lowering voltage or maxing the kit yet as far as clock frequency and timings goes but this is so far stable (memtest 100%+).

This is the new 24/7 config I'm probably gonna use, 513x8 w/ divider 1.2x from previously using 500x8. Perhaps I can tighten the timings a bit still or lower the voltage for the ram one step. On the other hand, I prolly have to up the voltage for CPU a step or two now (1.36v idle). ^^

2.21v (what I used for the previous Cellshock DDR2-6400 for DDR2-1200)

    Gigabyte + CellShock = <3

Very nice results mate, definitely awesome 24/7 settings Can you measure the vdimm with a DMM?

Sorry don't have a DMM here atm but BIOS value is 2.15v. But Gigabyte boards are known to overvolt a bit and I check with Everest it says 2.21v and one person confirmed Everest was quite accurate regarding real vdimm for the Gigabyte P35 board he measured on.

Sadly my CPU FSB wall on 8x multi pops in over 500 fsb.... Orthos fails in less than 1 min at 513x8 and I tried upping CPU, FSB, MCH a bit but it didn't help barely anything so it would need a huge jump in voltage which I don't think is worth it. Even at 507x8 it seems to only run around a minute or two depending on voltage. so I guess I'll have to settle for 500x8 after all. Well at least I can lower the vdimm voltage now, 2.16v should be perfectly fine but I'd guess even 2.11v should work for DDR2-1200.

EDIT: I almost got DDR2-1250 stable using divider 1.25x at 500 fsb and 2.21v "real". Didn't think it would even boot as I've had huge problems using this divider before so don't know if it's the RAM or the updated BIOS which has helped. Still it would always give me one error after around 12% tested in memset, while it could possibly have been stable enough for every other app I use or I could have upped the voltage one step to get it fully stable I'd rather not stress the ram/mobo so much with that divider and stick to DDR2-1200 5-5-4-10 at 2.16v with tight subtimings instead.

Such a shame that I have RAM that is screaming for a bit more but CPU doesn't wanna go further.

The point is to get airflow around the heatspreaders to alleviate some heat, not to fan force air onto the chips (which would be far too restrictive anyway)

No I did not have any stability issues. However I got a 'C1' error after a couple of months and I had to RMA to Taiwan. It is kind of a hassle as it takes about a month. I have read the P35 chipset might have issues with D9GKX Micron chips. I am currently running G.Skill 6400 HZ memory, which uses D9GMH chips and supposedly fair better.

My LT P35 T2R doesn't like most of my memory, be it D9GMH or D9GKX. Very difficult to clock 600MHz+ with anything other than my Ballistix 8500 kit. I think it may have something to do with DRAM Clk skew but I'm not sure.
