TBH, I'm not sure. It is the same memory I got from you Dave, when you sold me the first Sammy.

EDIT: I'm going to watch one of those X6DLP-EG2 mainboards on ebay, as I already have the Dynatron 'sinks for them.

If anyone sees any 2.0 GHz chips (or even the 1.67's ) going for a decent price (and possibly ship directly to Australia) over the next few weeks, I'm up for grabbing a pair. I know I can get the 1.67's for about US$120 + shipping for a pair, but I'd prefer to either get the 1.67's for less or, even better, get some 2.0's.

I figure that if I get the 1667's, I should be able to use the pin mod to get them up to at 10x200, and see if I might even be able to get 'em to boot at 2660 (although I'd be fairly surprised if they did ). Mind you, I'd probably be doing pin mods on the 2000's too, just to see what they're capable of

how does the pinmod work on pins, do you use a wire or something to connect two pins, and is it reversable?

You use a thin wire, yes. For example one strand of an old IDE cable works great. It's easily reversible, just remove the wire.

20GB is plenty for Vista as well

As for the pinmod, I have also seen people doing a u-wire mod instead of the pinmod. it's easier since you won't have to fiddle with the pins.

I've ordered a 370w Pc power&cooling PSU for my Sossaman system. this one

It's an 80plus efficient psu , which means at least 80% efficiency at 20% of 370w. 370w x 20% = 74w . Looks like a good match for such a low power system. I've also ordered a 4pin to 8pin adapter, just to be safe.

    You learn something new everyday.
Here I am preaching that the only sossaman chips made were 1667's and 2000's.. WRONG!
They made a 13 multi 2167mhz version with the stepping of SL9HM

..... mmm... I call shens.. & I blame the website.. I just did a *quick* search of the Intel website - there were no search results for SL9HM - I searched both the entire Intel website *&* their 'Processor Spec Finder' - both turned up nothing - I find it rather odd that the 'creator' has no clue about the 'created'

    wiki doesnt show anything either

& here is why I blame the website: there is a s479 2.16Ghz CPU - for normal lappies - so my guess is they got the 'Xeon' part wrong.. - here's my proof, RE: the laptop part:

    http://processorfinder.intel.com/Lis...earchKey=SL9HM

*edit*: one of those lappie CPUs has sSpec code: SL9JN - 'J' & 'N' - both keys are right next to 'H' & 'M'

I dare ya to contact him & ask for a pic - of the IHS that is

you contact and ask. I've already written him telling him he's a crook!
Seriously, cpu world is pretty reputable and this guy is selling them?
Makes me think they do exist..
    13 multi..200FSB pin mod..2600mhz..hmm..
an 11,440 a day WCG sossaman.. for 117w..
Use SetFSB with some 533 memory( if it works) and bump up to say 231.
    3000mhz..
Now thats something I have never tried, SetFSB with this.
I wonder if there is one for it?
same chipset as my 3600/2mb/800 xeons and none for that, I looked, asked and begged for that sucker long ago.
