God, its indeed an extremely clean case Sailrabbit!
Like your PSU. Even those "main" cables are hidden. That's a genious idea, really.

By the way. Where do you people but those Crucial Ballistix Tracers? In the nearest shop or do you order them at the website of Crucial? Is it more expensive to buy them at the Crucial website than a shop?
Its very hard to obtain them in my country. I just can't find them. Only the dull looking Crucial memory.
    Those things look awesome.

hey i have a question...im planning on building another rig and i wanted to know if the tracers would be a better option over the kingston hyper x memory??

also as far as graphics cards go which is hot now...the 4870 right??

I just built my first computer since... well lets just say the last computer I built I had to set DIP switches/jumpers on all the cards to prevent IRQ conflicts.

Its a pretty basic midrange gaming machine but is certainly alot cleaner inside than it would have been had I not had the benefit of all the info in this thread. So a big thanks to all of you, and here is what an antec assembled by a noob with a screwdriver looks like.

Sorry about the image size, on my home forums it resized them automatically
I cant seem to get that to work here...

*edit* Picture hosting lost. I posted another a few posts down.

What bettwr way to use my first post than to show you my rig

First a before Cable management shot, I cleaned/dusted and did cable management this morning took around 2 hours but it was worth it.

    And now after cable management

A lot clearer, not the best though as the CPU connector and Mobo 24 pins are too short to go any other routes.

With the side panel on, too much flash to see the LEDs though

    Then a desk shot

Small screen for my 9800 GX2 its only 1280 by 1024, but I'm upgrading later this year so no worries. And yes the curtains are drawn :p it's late evening here.

The trolley I cannibalized to get it off the carpet (Used to suck in a horrendous amount of dust , so got this and fan filters for the intakes).
Probably not that amazing but we all have to start somewhere and seeing as I only have a few saws, drills and no other tools I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

    Now for the Specs:

Asus P5N-D (Going to replace as soon as I7 is out.)
Q6600 @ 2.69Ghz (Would push higher but motherboard is awful for O/cing)
    9800 GX2
    4Gb 1066Mhz DDR2 OCZ platinum RAM
Asaka EVO AK-922 CPU cooler & additional fan
    640Gb 7200RPM HDD & 250Gb 7200RPM HDD
    And last but not least

Antec 900 which I'm hoping to upgrade to a Antec 1200 next year to give more breathing/working space and to accommodate water cooling once I've got the money.

I'll leave you with the tripping balls photo

Hope you liked and all your cases are an inspiration to me, if only full time education gave more money I'd be build a rig just as awesome.

I dont think I am going to put a fan on the door for a while (maybe for Xmas I'll get a couple more fans).

It looks like I can take the acrylic off to allow more air to vent through the door area.
Do you think thats a good idea or a waste of time?

With 3x 120mm fan, doing all 60 CFM a piece and a huge 200mm fan, doing 134 CFM at top, which totals in >310 CFM... you really think you need to take off the acrylic side... :P
(and I even didn't count your CPU, GPU and PSU fan... :P)
Like I said: I never repeat myself

I think your math is a little off. Thats 120 CFM in from the front and 194CFM+PSU+GPU out the back and top. The in and out dont add together. There is more going out than in so air is being pulled in through the sidw grill where the fan would be.
I would just be changing the side vent from a 120mm circle to a large triangle.

Here is a pic of the inside. Its still a little dark.
All the wires are behind the tray, in the middle HDD bay under the CD or on the bottom so the airflow from the top front fan is clear across
the RAM and CPU and out the back or up the top and the bottom HDD Bay goes across the HDD and into the PSU/GPU in takes.

I was wondering about the larger than life scratching post. You keeping a bengal tiger in the garage for security?

Ask my dad about the typewriter. Even though it would be balls-to-the-wall awesome to have a Bengal Tiger in my garage, it's there for door dings.

Anyway, got rid of the green CPU fan because it was stupid bright compared to everything else.

Looks real nice, my question though where did you plug the front USB/mic jack into? Dont they go into the bottom of the mobo?

They were too short, didn't feel like extending them, so I just took the front USB/Firewire/audio assembly out. I don't have anything I unplug or plug in often so it doesn't bother me.

What setting do you guys keep your fans at ( Two in front, One in back , Top , and if you use the side one )

I keep my front two on medium, top on medium, back on high and I can't put on the side fan cause of my CPU Cooler, and the side fan actually did work somewhat when I had it on before I took off my stock CPU Cooler it made my GPU temps drop 3 or 4 degrees but eh its not that big of a deal.

I recently just put my exhaust fan on high because I dont have a pull on my cpu cooler just a push and putting the exhaust on high I guess I thought would be somewhat efficient covering for the pull of it.

Let me tell you though, just with one fan on high you can tell the difference at night when its silent.

When I had the stock fans, they were all on medium.

Put my green fan back in because I felt like it.
