Looks great tony!!
I almost bought an apogee GTZ last ni9ght but then I decided to wait and check out what OCZ can bring to the game with this block, it is very attractive aesthetically IMO.

Yes, but then you lose performance as you get flow over the top of the block.
Don't get me wrong here, it works with weaker pumps just fine, its just better with one with good head pressure.
Im actually running mine at the moment purely using convection with a quad at 3GHZ (9650) and once the water starts to convect load temps were mid to high 30's under Linpack. Water in the res was 20C and CPU idled around 29 to 32C.
Who needs a pumpLOL
I am going to rebuild the workbench to promote convection flow to 4 blocks for 4 boards and just use the pumps to cool the water in the reservoir, and then only when the water temp rises to high.

Most people have a DDC or D5 (or a few with an iwaki!) so I don't think it should be too much of an issue. I don't see many people using the db-1 in multi-block loops.

tony how did this block act when chilled.
Im looking for a block for my chiller, and its down to this or the new XSPC Rev.3
But i remember you using it, and you seemed very happy with it. So Tony your honest advice, how is it on a chiller?

I may have found a block for my backup rig.

wow +850 for the price.
at $40 theres no way i cant pick this up to play with
any stores have 'em yet?
if it was in a case yes, fact is im using a 14gallon res here that also has a 230V march ubber pump (29ft pressure) in the loop although the pump is not powered at the moment...just CPU heat causes the water to move.
I have decided to redesign and alter the loop to be 100% convection with enough capacity to cool 800W spread over 4 CPU's.
When I get going i will take some pics
HTPC will use one of the new HWlabs crossflow rads with the capability to be convection and pumped...dependant on load and CPU temps.
