    Hi Rodriguez

Well all I can say is that it will all depend on the ICs on your RAM. The best one is GTS>GTR, but the difference is really small I would say.
It also depends on how much vNB and vDimm you use on your configuration.

Kasparz would have more info since he is the specialist in this

I got some answers from CSX tech dept. they say they had to change timings for GTS 4GB kit to 10-9-9-24 1.90V (command rate: 2T) because of issues with previous timings & lower performance chips from Micron.

They also said that timings will also be updated for GTR chips as right now they cannot guarantee those low timings with actual batch of chips.

Anyways I've purchased a kit of 4Gb form http://www.hpm-computer.de/product_i...00-DIABLO.html hoping that better timings can be acheived after tweaking & hopefully will perform better than my actual 4x1Gb Crucial 2000 RAM

Actual Crucial kit by the way runs great all 4 sticks at 2000 9-9-9-24 1.95v or 1800 8-7-7-24 1T at 1.84v.

Hopefully I haven't made a wrong decision purchasing Diablo kit after timing update news, which are worse timings than those I can actually acheive running 4 sticks of Crucial 2000

On the funny side: http://com-discount.de/ has the 4Gb kit GTR listed this morning for only 7.90 Euro - suppose is a mistake from them

I think Im going to have to order from Europe since US retailers look to be really slow to sell european products.
Now, where to buy is the question...

Well, if you need 4GB, highflow.nl (in your sig) has it listed on their site.

    Not in stock though.

    Have you contacted with Heinrich?
For 4GB kit right specifications was 8-7-6-19 2T at 2GHz. For 2GB kit command rate is 1T. In webpage there is pdf. Very first Diablo kits had 8-8-8-24 timings, so few shops haven't updated their specifications.
Yes, new batch of D9GTS is little bit different, and this case they are not that voltage sensitive, they like lower voltage but loosened timings.
I haven't tested myself these new batch D9GTS kits yet, but i will as soon as possible. Have been busy with some private things last few days. In this case few our CEC kits have D9GTS too but not all so i cannot guarantee that you will get D9GTS in CEC kits.
What comes to distributors, we are already working on that and we really do our best to get our products in US.
If you got any other questions, feel free to contact me on email, msn or skype for fastest answer.
    Take care

I didn't get the gentleman's name but he seemed to know exactly what I was talking about (see my long post on page 13 about timings) & answered me quickly & precisely without any doubts.

I bought 4gb kit this morning from http://www.hpm-computer.de/product_i...00-DIABLO.html & asked the shop to confirm that the chips were GTS & that the advertised timings on their site were correct & not the ones advertised on CSX site or other shops.

They sent me an email confirming that the sticks had a sticker indicating GTS chip & timings of 10-9-9-24 1.90V (command rate: 2T) for NF790i, & asking if wanted to go ahead with the purchase.

Before reconfirming with shop I called CSX & was passed on to tech dept. and asked why there were so many contradictory Diablo 4GB kit timings around the web, so I went on to explain the differences I've seen as follows

    Official CSX info for 4GB kit=GTR chip & 8-7-6-19 2,0-2,1V

    Info according various Webs:
    GTR 2000MHz 8-8-8-28 2.0 - 2,1V (command rate: 2T).
    GTR 2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2.0 - 2.1V (command rate: 1T)
    GTR 2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2.0 - 2,1V (command rate: 2T)
    GTS 2000MHz 10-9-9-24 1.90V (command rate: 2T)

He answered that first batch of chips used in 4GB kit were excelent & they could guarantee the advertised speed & timings, but lately they had some issues with new batch of chips both GTR & GTS with previous timings & decided to raise the timings in order to match the real values users could obtain in most cases with this new batch of chips.

He also indicated that CSX site was not indicating the correct timings & that they should have updated their web some time ago to reflect this, also confirmed that new timings were for both GTR & GTS.

In fact, the only reason I was going to replace my 4x1GB Crucial 2000 GTS kit with Diablo kit was to run at 1900/2000 with 8-7-6-19 (my 4 Crucial sticks do 1800 8-7-7-24 or 2000 9-9-9-24 1.95v without a problem 100% stable). So I was a little bit down to say the least after speaking with CSX but anyways I went ahead with the purchase.

Will let you know results as soon as I get them, hopefully on Monday.

Kasparz: Have you tried 8gb of this RAM (4x 2GB 2000) on striker II Extreme or Nvidia 790i ??? if so at what speed & timings? could you enable P1/P2 100% stable.

Edit: I want to thank CSX for being really transparent & helpful without false advertising & canned answers.

Don't know much about these chips yet as I still haven't received mine, but have you tried using two different memory slots at a time(slots 0 & 1 then slots 2 & 3)?

Maybe it's a stupid suggestion but you never know nowadays with all this very picky hardware....

Also, as I understand CSX only warrants those timings with 2000 speed for NVIDIA 790i chipsets...don't want to ruin your day but Read the info in their site http://www.csx-memory.com/?site=show...article_id=631.

That doesn't mean you won't be able to acheive them (as seen by some other posts) but that's only an extra (& if your specific motherboard & your specific memory modules have been built on a lucky day at the factory)

By the way what chips are on your sticks? GTR...GTS...

Rodriguez, i haven't run any of new batch GTS chips, but i had run 2GBx4 configuration on Striker II Extreme at 2GHz 8-7-6-19. With this configuration you have to set very high Vnb to keep system stable. Yes, P1 and P2 enabled.
We guarantee 2GB kits at 2GHz on both X48 and nF790i. But people should know that getting stable 2Ghz on Intel is a bit harder because you have to overclock FSB and in this case you have to use dualcore, because obviously on quad 500FSB is a lot and in many cases memory would not reach 2GHz on Intel due to board/cpu.
aerie, you can try to tweak DIMM clock skews. These can improve memory stability from post freeze to totally stable system just by tweaking.

you don't need 1.6 vmch for FSB 500. your nb might be overheated. how you cool it? if with hp hs than put a fan over it.

    try these settings:

    FSB 500
    NB clock skew 100
    FSB strap 333
    DRAM Freq DDR3-2000
    Command rate 1T
    DRAM Static Read Control Disabled
    DRAM Dynamic Write Control Disabled
    Ai Clock Twister Lighter
    Ai Clock Booster Manual
    Common Performance Level 09
    NB Voltage 1.45v

    ok thx i try.
i use watercooled NB and i used a lot of vNB for try but usually i stay 1,55 or less. ,mine chip are GTR and i have an e8600 that can reach 630 easy on R.E.

how can i try to tweak RAM DTL ?? some example to try ?

    nothing to do with this!

i noticed that if i put DRAM skew CTL , CLK, and the other on channel B : advance 100ps i have better stability... i can run OCCT more time about 5-6minutes
if i leave those on AUTO i can run 30-60sec.....

can be the solution ?? someone can explain me more?
