guys this board for me will not post if i set fsb over 400mhz hell might not post over 333mhz asit seems ive only got 333x10 to work

Ive tried right to 500 as some say oyu need ot work in fsb steps, but when ever i leave the bios it shuts down tries ot post and it cycles 3x's and resets defualts.

Ive tried 3 diff e8500/e8600's used higher than normal voltages and removed the cooling and I had perfect contact so i can only assume since Ive tried all the bioses that the board I have must be a reject

1st gigabyte board for a customer build in 2 yrs and It doesnt work right feels like my first black ops same thing wouldnt do anything for me at the time people said you have to WORK the board compared to others, but on rma of the BO the board/new board was as normal to overclock as any board and this is how this gigabyte feels atm.

if anyone has any tips or a list of voltages/timings/settings to try im all ears before I rma this board

    thanks

Reset BIOS defaults, then just set fsb to 400 and drop your multi.
If that doesnt work i'd think its RMA time.

Vdroop/vdrop seems excessive also. I set it to 1.4 in BIOS, in Windows it drops to 1.36 and under load it's 1.328. Seems like a lot. Any mods for it?
I'll try using auto everything. Thanks for the input.
Edit: Oh, are you saying that CPUz reading wrong is a bug? I hadn't heard that. Thanks for the info.
My old E8600 took 1.55v (real) to clock upto 5Ghz on air, I don't think I ever got it to boot into windows at that speed at any volts on air.

Wanting 5Ghz with only 1.36v is a very big ask. Sure, there may be chips out there that can do it, but there wont be many.
And even then, they will never be anything but benching stable.

Actually I tried up to 1.88v with VTT at 1.76, MCh 1.80, PLL 1.80, DRAM 2.0, I tried several different straps with every different memory speed. I haven't been able to get into Windows at anything above 4.7 no matter the voltage.
The 1.4 to 1.36 to 1.328 was at 4.3 which is pretty stable so far. I mentioned that to ask if there was a volt mod for it and to see if anyone else was having that big of a vdrop/vdroop. I'm going to try that volt mod over the weekend if I have time.

Well, consider the fact that both of my E8600 on water in Rampage Extreme will not run 3D at 4800 at 1.625V.

same here, ive got the mobo on friday, and still couldnt reach 550fsb boot
memory handling after some bios tweaks works fine, i could hit 2000 76518 for Spi 4M on such kits wich are not able to this speeds any other mobos before...
but max fsb... still nothing, any advices?
i tryd 400 strap, over 1.40v mch and vtt, ccd 1000/1000 and skews 400/400, gtl's, but still no success, i have no idea how you guys manage 600++ fsb's
mod: i also use F4b ofc.
