Anyone ever done the World Class Driving Experience?

So my wife found out about this event that takes place around the country where this company lets you drive 5 supercars for about 30 minutes per car.

She knows that I've always loved cars and for my 30th birthday got me a pretty cool present.

One day with 5 pretty amazing cars:
Ferrari 599 or Ferrari F430 Scuderia
    Maserati Gran Turismo
    Audi R8
    Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
    Ford GT
    Spare
    Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

They'll be around Minneapolis September 13th.

Anyone here ever heard of this or done it before? I plan to take a bunch of pictures and some nice HD video. It should be a blast.

I've seen the ads but never looked into it. Do they let you get on them or do you have to never take them over 3 grand?

There are a few videos on their website showing testimonials from customers. It looks like you can actually have some fun with them, but it's all on public roads. You only have somebody riding with you in either the Ferrari or SLR McLaren. My wife will be with my in the other cars, so I'll be sure to give her a good time.

Sounds like you'll have a blast, though I think only in the USA they would put a callaway in the mix ( and no baiting please! )

The Masserati looks abit out of place to

It may look a bit out of place but if you drive one, you'll understand why it's there.

It does look like a ton of fun since most mere mortals will never have the opportunity to drive such incredible cars. Yea, it's expensive... but i'd do it if I hadn't already driven most of those cars.

    Ferrari 599 or Ferrari F430 Scuderia: Drove a Novitec-Rosso F430
Maserati Gran Turismo Drove a friends.... hated Maseratis ever since
Audi R8 Drove 2 of them. Probably the most fun you'll have out of bunch.
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera: Had some track time in a regular Gallardo.... amazing car. Found it funny that it's climate control was the same as my 2007 Audi A4. I found it more "fun" to drive than its big brother, the Murciallago
Ford GT: Haven't had the opportunity
    Spare:
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren: I think it wouldn't be that fun unless they let you crush the posted speed limit

Anyways.... I say go for it. Try skydiving too. I'll be doing my third jump in a couple weeks!

Ferrari 599 or Ferrari F430 Scuderia: Driven two 360's: one modena, one spider. Only had a chance to sit in an F430
Maserati Gran Turismo Drove one, also drove a Quattroporte
    Audi R8 Unfortunately not
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera: Only driven an old Countach, rode in a few Gallardos and Murcielagos at a local event though
    Ford GT: Driven two
    Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren: No SLR's, driven a 2009 SL550 AMG though

Not bad for an 18 year old

Only a few more weeks, make sure you take pictures and video

So, I did this today and had an absolute blast. Incredibly amazing. I'll post some pics and maybe even some video later, but I'm beat. I did this in the morning and then had a wedding all afternoon/evening.

They had the Nissan GTR, and DAMN, that was awesome. More to come later.

I did and it was a lot better than I expected. It was no slouch and it just LOVED to be downshifted. We got a really nice piece of road when I drove that car and I got a lot of accelerations/decelerations up and down some hills are were really curvy. I was constantly shifting gears driving it hard. The R8 is actually a car I think I could own. The interior was fabulous, and very comfortable. It was so smooth and powerful, and my wife loved it.

I actually was talking to one guy just about the whole time when I wasn't driving. He told me he had one on order and that he'd let me take it out when it arrived. We'll see how that pans out but I was grateful for the invitation.

It was a really great experience, now time to go look at what's on my camera.

    Dude, thats just redonkulous....

Increadable. I am glad the R8 like your downshifts. My fav part of fast cars. Hitting the perfect downshift into a hard corner

    Congrats!

You didn't mention the R35 earlier. Did you get a chance to drive it?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
