I bought an Ek Multi-Option Res 100 and that will make bleeding 1000 times easier. I replaced the tubing with Feser 3/8" ID blue tubing and turned the case into a spaghetti machine.

I'll be done with this one shortly, I just need to apply the finishing touches I hope. Soon will start the great TJ07 build, and it might even look similar to Turtletrax's TJ07. For whatever reason we have a lot of the same tastes in hardware and we share a lot of our ideas with each other. We'll see how that one comes along but I'm excited. ]

Here are the mandatory progress pics (never mind the random yellow sata cable. That's there to transfer stuff over to the new raid when I set that up.):

    Great minds think alike!!! LOL

Great work tho m8. I cannot wait to see your TJ-07. Gonna be hawt

There is way too much space still left in that case...you need to cram a bunch more stuff in there.

    Nice work BA!

It's really too funny just how many components we have that are the same. I need to get the TJ07 up and running though, maybe I'll just mount everything and make sure it's perfect before I powder coat. At least iron out a few bugs and minimize time I have to wait for more crap.

Thanks, I think the camera makes it look a bit brighter than what it looks like in person, but it's pretty nice.

Thanks Skinnee. I still have all the wiring to do, well most of it. Then getting the Aquaero setup and maybe I'll jam some more fans in the basement to exhaust the air. We'll see, but I HATE unused space.

On another note. I need to pick up some distilled water to so I can fire this up, but tomorrow I have a very busy day.

I have my World Class Driving Experience tomorrow morning. LINK. Then my sister in laws wedding to go to. Maybe on Sunday I can see if it actually works.

Go have fun tomorrow...the machine will be there. Well, TT and I may find our way into your basement, but we'll leave AC rig for you.

Well, I'm still alive and am very happy. My wife told me I had a smile from ear to ear when I had the Lambo up to 145mph. That thing sounded amazing. I have tons of pictures, at least a couple hundred, 25 mins of HD video and a bunch of memorabilia crap. Time to sell all this computer stuff and buy a Ferrari, or maybe the Nissan GTR that I drove.

Can you put some plug n cool 90's to get rid of that loop? That would really clean up the hard drive cooler loop.

That is awesome dude !!! 145mph in a Lambo. Nicest car I ever got a ride in was a Ferrari F430 that was twin supercharged. Was sick as hell, so I know exactly how you feel!!

But, nothing on this earth except yachts can drain a bank account like supercars. Stil, definately all of fun

Glad your day was good m8

Sounds like one hell of a good day!!

To top it off our grand scheme to snake all your machines was thwarted by TT's inability to understand a GPS, I knew he shouldn't have been the navigator. So you lucked out there.

    Happy B-Day!

As a huge car enthusiast I am FULLY aware how fast this hobby can drain your bank account. Glad to see you had a good time. When I went to get my SCCA racing license I had a smile for ear to ear for a week. That was the greatest 4 days.

Just remember, keep it on a track and keep the shiny side up. Also, I have been racing (sanctioned SCCA racing on tracks, not that Fast and the Furious crap) since I was 15. Please know your limits and don't try to compete with more experienced drivers at track days.

Cars are a huge money sink. Something I don't want to get into until I have a lot more of it. I could see myself owning a Nissan GTR in 4 years though, that might be possible. I really have no desire to race it on a track but like to have my fun.

Time to see what's on the camera.

Ha, you dont have to tell me that. My DD (daily driver) is a highly modified german V8 sedan getting roughly 8mpg in the city and 13 on the highway.

Yikes!! If you enjoy it and can afford it, then I say go for it. Cars are great fun, and something I'd like to eventually get back into. But for now we burn about a tank of gas every 3 weeks between my wife an I. We just don't need to drive as much anymore as we used to.

For cheaper fun, motorcycles are really the way to go. Driving like we did yesterday reminded me of when I used to go riding with some of my old Navy friends. Great times had by all.

How was the R8? I drove it at Road Atlanta at a ALMS event and was impressed. It is actually the exact same engine as my car. However, i have a few "tricks" in my bag. I would have gotten as much time as possible in the R8, Lambo, and GT-R as they are all-wheel drive and it looks like a slick day.

Just curious and this is not intended to be a shot at you at all. I assume most of the people attending these events have very seat time in high performance vehicles such as these. I know that when I am on a track I have a 5 poitn harness and helmet at least and if I am doing some back road driving I at least wear the 5 point harness as it is a quick disconnect (read DOT approved) model. Are there any safety measures at these events such as harnesses in cars or requiring drivers to wear helmets?

EDIT: Is that a 300C V-6? That seems a little out of place among these foreign rides.

    Back on topic:
You build is coming along great. Not get this thing done and get some numbers for it.

I actually loved the R8. It was a very slick car that was very responsive. It was much better than I expected it to be and just loved to be driven hard.

As far as safety measures everything was stock. No helmets or 5 point harnesses. We weren't out racing but just enjoying the cars. I think if we got pulled over and were wearing a helmet it might just look a bit too suspicious. A lot of the guys were just car enthusiasts, some owned some very nice cars, but most were just guys like myself that had never had the opportunity to drive such cars.

No worries about the off topic, that's what build logs are all about.

Next weekend my wife heads out of town so I'll have more time to finish it all up and hopefully take some really nice pictures of the 2 cases together.

There is more development on the TJ07 build, some very good news that everyone will see soon enough. It should be great.
