Im not sure if I'd need any backplates or not.

The board has backplates on already, well what look like backplates anyway, metal plates behind the cpu socket area, these are detachable.

Dave should be able to tell us what it is these are.

The back plate which that mobo has is wrong type...
I'll show u:

There is simple explanation: those oringinal backplates are ment for case which has already lga604 or lga771 coolers on them.

But yea those backplates costs around $3-5 so not really big deal...

I've been thinking: should i take 2 mobos and 4heatsinks and backplates at once since they're so darn cheap...

Yea i know i should take mobo and sinks for second build but i'm not sure how much money i get within this week...

Are those the same backplates you ordered through PM with me? If they are, it might be cheaper (in terms of weight) to have those shipped to me at once locally...

Blew a lot of money lately, more than I had to play with.

Ok, you guys will need to come up with app $80.00 for the 4 pairs of heatsinks and $2.95 each and shipping for the xeon backplates that I will order from Performance PC's.. The ones Jaco showed should work fine also.
Just let me know whats planned and by PM in addition to this thread in case I miss it..

You mean my Q6600 thats does 3600 on air at 50C, that runs the last 6 months 24/7 loaded with no issues, the Q6600 that I benched at 4005mhz?

Sounds like a good Q6600 to me! We could do a swap for my E2140... you love dualies! The Q6600'd go under an Infinity. I'm not sure about my IP35-E though...
