Well, would you rather them go back to having issues putting any at all on it? There are some cards that come with a spartan amount of TIM on 'em. At least in the old days.

Blech--they waste money on TIM like that. A proper amount of ASC or ACMX-2 would be within a few cents per card of that crap and fabulous performance.

isopropyl "rubbing alcohol" works great to clean that up.
TIM from the factory usually isn't great at all.
Pretty much always messy.
