As I said earlier in the thread, I'm only doing P5Q series BIOS mods atm, I don't have time to mod all sorts of BIOS code, at least, not without a manufacturer paying me to do so.
As nobody else has said anything I'll add my input on the V2 P5Q Pro mBIOS of mine. I'd say to date its probably the best. Currently running 3.55GHz on my E4400 which is an all-new high for it (previous being 3.4GHz). I'm perhaps pushing the chip a tad hard with 1.5v, but its actual is about 1.49v idle and around 1.47v load with LLC disabled, so its alright. Max FSB is still 425MHz and not 100% stable, but for an E4400 425 FSB is mad high. I'm one of the lucky ones that got an L2 stepping
A quick 3DMark06 run gave a score of 13.5k for a single HD3870 512MB @ 850\2GHz. Enabling CF returned a score of 15.5k which pretty much confirmed what I suspected with my CF setup. Even @ 3.55GHz the cards are bottlenecked. CF score with the CPU @ 3.4GHz returned 14.2k.. so yea, still cant fully lift that bottleneckFor that reason I'm going to have to grab an E8400 or something and clock the snot out of it.
Brave lil 4400, still trying to hold its own![]()
