    Read the privacy statement. When you install it, a unique ID is generated to identify the machine and the IP address it is connecting from.. which is stored in google's databases along with all your youtube surfing habits, search terms, submitted data, favourites...

    I like the "source code available soon" bs.

    sure, youtube I can understand, but if it's not communicating to google when you make a post here, how could they know this was written in chrome? also, source info is here, http://dev.chromium.org/developers/h...etting-started, or I think it is.

    Yup the link for source code is up. Let's see how easy it is to disable google's spying mechanism.
