Question Motherboards that support Wolfdale out of the box?

Researching my first build. Was set on e8400 + GA-EP35-DS3L. According to Gigabyte C0 stepping will work with any BIOS, but E0 stepping is F5 or higher. Newegg won't say what they're shipping for either item. Have no access to other chips to update BIOS if needed. Don't have the time/energy/desire to roll the dice and hope I get a compatible combo.

Does anyone know of a similar motherboard (+-$20) that will support any/all Wolfdales regardless of BIOS version?

Another possible option is ClubIT. They are shipping OEM C0s but they are more expensive and ideally I want an E0, yes?

look at a p45 like the biostar tforce or p5q-E those should both do all wolfdales out of the box, but may need an update to know what to do with a new cpu, and they should do all stepping

    Thanks for the responses, guys.

BIOSTAR TForce TP45D2-A7 looks about right. Confirmed memory list is a bit short, anyone running one of these with G.Skill by chance? Have my eye on a 2x2 1066 kit. Searched the forum but nothing came up specific to this board.

All P5Q boards do Wolfdale out the box. Depending on your budget I would go with a P5Q Pro + E8400 or P5Q Deluxe + E8400.

I think there is little to none vdroop on the p5q boards.
    Gigabyte always has vdroop.

p5q pro is the way to go.

P5Q boards do suffer from vdroop, but its not terrible. 1.475v in BIOS is read as 1.456v rock solid.

P5Q-E is the best board I've ever owned, the BIOS are spot on and the layout is close to perfect. Recognised the brand new E0 stepping with no probs.
