I actually meant post error 54. I've been on G28 for a few weeks before now and it never happened once with it, flashed back now and i'm fine.

Well Flanr sorry to say that on bios P02, G28 and P05 my Aegis panel isn't fully operational. Maybe you have to reinstall the program after a bios flash, i never did that, though i wouldn't think it would matter. P05 had some other bugs for me so i'll stick with G28.

    Bios Problems

i too am getting that post code error 54 and other intermittent quirks like intermittent shutdowns and restarts with p05 - i have notifed saaya and lardarse about this

i have flashed back to G27 where i had no problems

i apolgise if i was pushing p05 bios, cause normally flashing to the latest bios is always recomended by the manufacturer, in this case it did not work out

but it was up to each individual if they wanted to flash or not

as the old saying goes - if it ain't broke don't fix it

    Best Regards

Of course I've found flashing with this foxliveupdate program to be painless so going from one bios to another is no trouble. P05 had some other quirks for me - the mouse would randomly be non-operational on windows boot for example.

cpuz doesnt read the temps correctly, still working on that with franck from cpuz, sorry!

what cpu is that? are you using the same memory and the same settings as on the gigabyte board?

It's been pissing me off for two days now, im now on my 2nd reinstall of windows but I think ive cracked it this time.

To anyone reading this DO NOT under any circumstances update your chipset or raid drivers with the latest ones from Intel, only use the ones from foxconn or you'll have major problems!
damn... what driver are you using then that works alright? might be useful in case somebody else searches the forum for this issue

hmmm sorry about the issues m8... could you post some more details about what exactly is not working right with what bios, hardware config and what settings etc so i can reproduce it here and then push the engineers to get it fixed? thanks!

everybody else, the same thing, if aegis panel doesnt work or you have any issues, could you please post more details so we can reproduce this issue?

    what windows version?
    32bit or 64bit?
    what bios?
did you try a fresh install?
what versions of aegis panel did you try?
did you install to the default folder?
what exactly doesnt work, and what does work?

i tried different aegis panel versions on the mars on fresh vista 32bit, vista 64bit and windows xp installs and it worked fine! so... i really dont know why it doesnt work for some guys and our application engineer is puzzled as well... :/

Intel Matrix Storage Manager 7.8.0.1013 (comes on the Blackops cd) is happy with my board with G28 bios. Latest driver from LiveUpdate kills it.

My Geil ram is Evo Black Dragon 1600C7. I have to run it at 8-8-8-26 to get it stable at 1600mhz.

    @saaya
Q9450 C1 stepping. same memory as gigabyte 2x2 mushkin 1600 at same timings(7-7-6-18 PL9(to try for higher fsb). I was just setting voltage as needed, but noticed that anytime i increased FSB i needed to increase vDRAM to get it to boot. decided that was odd so I ran memtest and every address was failing. I like to think i may have fried it on my gigabyte mobo. RMAing RAM now, but i probably won't get back on this mobo until i get my P4 back.

    Hi Guys,

Noticed this, made me a bit nervous, PPL @ 2+ volts so done a few tests:

Firstly set all voltages to stock, then increased pll one notch at a time in bios and took reading in Aegis panel.

Vcore ppll in Bios...............Vcore ppl reading in Aegis Panel

    1.433.................... 1.396
    1.471................... 1.396
    1.508................... 1.396
    1.540................... 1.396
    1.588................... 1.976
    1.622................... 2.023
    1.659................... 2.070
    1.69.................... 2.117

Would request confirmation that there is a fault in Aegis panel and not in the bios
Bios used G30, Aegis see pic

If mods consider this should be in a new thread, then please move and start one, thanks
