I am so excited for these new Jr. boards. I am trying to force myself to wait for the DDR3 version (which I think is due in September). If Asus doesn't come out with something comparable then I am definitely going DFI.

Can we get an update? A couple of guys over at [H]ardForum got this board and can't get much past 400 FSB. Of course they have the released version and not Engineering samples.

Massive is most likely looking for realistic results, With a 11 August date that submission was most likely done in the lab. What could that mean? All kinds of possibilities. Subzero cooling, handpicked components, custom board most likely tuned with a scope. Lab results mean little if they can't be duplicated by the end user.

Nice JB, did you test the top end fsb or is 600 about it? I see you have some more voltage space

    Email from DFI HQ:

Yes, JR P45 Micro ATX board has “2 PCIe v2 x16 slots” , due to our SPEC. definition for it, we fixed 2 slot are 8X+8X supported.

Due to the design limitation, there is no jumper array or digital switch to let PCIE1 become 16X supported

But, do not worry about the 3D performance. We believed there is no a bigger performance gap between 8X/16 Gen2, even CF enabled.

Picture is the test we done on ATI 4850 for your reference (DK P45 compare to LT X38)

So, fixed at 8x full time, but they claim there's little to no performance hit for this...

Ok, that does it for me. I was thinking of try this thing out but now I've decided not to.

Why in heavens do they cripple the board like that? And where are the quad results?

    Cost savings, must be.

They really cut costs on their DK budget series from what I can see. Anyway, if you are going to do CF, it makes no diff cos P45 is 8x8 limited anyway so I am still getting one - there is no other competing mATX mobo for CF presently.

Yeah good people, let's see some quad results pls.

So as i understand it, both slots are fixed at 8x, whether single card or crossfire? If so, will 8x cripple/bottleneck the latest cards? I'd be running one 4870.

Are you going to run dual monitors? The board does not support SLI.

I do hope DFI doesn't go down now that Foxconn have bought some of the minds . This and the new DK revisions are fantastic signs.
Which DK revisions are you referring to?
