quick question...

temp probe hole...

Here is the probe location mounting for the F1 unit: You want to get the probe up to 1/4 deep from the side. Be careful becasue the copper is soft and can break the bit off in the base of the unit.. that sucks! Don't put too much pressure on the drill and blow out the copper shavings as you go:

"up to 1/4" deep hole" parallel with the CPU contact face (1) or the "side" (2) ?

I did parallel. Use a nail or something to make first little spot for the bit so it wont slide of.

Parrallel mounting is best, it will give you more precise temp.

Cool holdown insulation man! Always good to see how you guys do things your own style that what it's all about, Good luck with your benching and maybe you should post up a vid of the temp swings on the F1 under full load at 2v + . Hope you tear it up!!

i used some 1/4" foam with 2-way tape i found in the garbage from the company next to ours (bottom)

you could easily do it with some of the 2" x 1/8" insulation tape (top)
you'd just end up with more layers and more seams





a SHARP double sided razor blade would have helped




~1/2" total on the outside should do it







not a very pretty hole but once you stick it in (the temp probe) who cares what it looks like













ill be SURE to make a vid of the "swing"!!


went to check on the tank today and its EMPTY!
guess i went through 35l A LOT faster than i thought
(but with the pour rate in vid, i guess i shouldnt be too surprised)
