    I hope this is true, especially since phenom's performance scaling is better than linear in a lot of cases as frequency goes up due to the bottlenecks becoming eliminated/less, but I just can't picture amd going from 2.6ghz to 4ghz (stock) with a simply die shrink unless if shanghai is much more than just a faster ipc and die shrink

    This is a myth as far as I know. Wasn't Anandtech confusing increased NB/HT clocks with better than linear scaling?
    AMD does scale (not clock scaling) better than Intel but this is completely irrelevant for desktops.

    Don't tell me anyone believes the FUD?
