I want to ask a simple question: what the stable highest fsb on E8xx series with the DFI LT x48? I asked that because have plan to change mobo with LT version from LPUT P35 I've used before. A friend of mine sold his LT x48 and I want to buy it, replacing my 'old' LPUT P35. Oh, for the vga, I only used one, not interesting with dual gpu solution, and my procie was E8200, altough I have to change it with E8400 e0 stepping. From my experiences, LPUT P35 is one of the best mobo for Intel Core era, could the LT x48 better than his old brother?

    Thx for respons, bros..

in short no. its not a real upgrade. the p35 can do higher fsb than the x48 on average. if you are still going single card, then its not an upgrade that i would consider. i was having real difficulty getting past 537fsb with my e8500 on it. however i have gotten my motherboard back from rma and have not tested it yet so the fsb wall may be higher or lower... im just having too much fun with my maximus @ 570fsb

    Rather frustrating...
    beta bios

    Major Reasons of Change:
    1. Fixed system can't display when insert ATI HD 4870 X2 Graphic card. 2. Added ABS profile version control for UT/LT X38/X48 series.

Well guy's I'm thinking about throwing in the towel. I just can't get 8GB Ram stable in IntelBurnTest. Its fine with 4Gb (Passes 100 iterations) and I'm prime stable in both cases 12+hours. I can also pass all tests in memtest 86+ V2.01. I'm superdisapointed with the overclockability of my intel setup. OC's are great but only if they are stable. I'm really thinking intel is not all it is cracked up to be. Considering going back to opterion 165 and cutting my losses on this new setup (selling it all for less than I paid) until somethng better comes out that will be stable when overclocked...

I really like DFI boards, I siply think x48 chiopset is over hyped in general and I mostly blame the CPU. I dont understand teh 4GB limitation and dont want to invest more moeny in a new CPU if it happens to turn out to be a problem with the MB or X48 chipsets in general.

giving it one more shot, using 333/667 divider to run my PC2 1100 @ 851MHZ
I doubt it will pass though not with 8GB... I was previously using the 266/667 divider for 1065MHZ. It will take several hours for results...

Just a quick question, will 2 x 4870 work 100% on this board? I did have a 3870X2 back in the day and i couldn't get it to work with the board (Random restarts). I would like to start gaming at full res and GFX soon, my 8800gt can't handle games with AA.

Yea it means your dell is not stable, my lenovo passes but it throttles the CPU because it his 86c! My Dell at work passes as well. And I'm currently on pass 50 with default speeds, so something is up. I just knew what it was. theres 100k differnet ways to run the system esp with GTL's thrown in and no real standard for C1 stepping.

Any idea how to get around the "invalid BIOS for your system" error message in AWDFLASH? I tried with and without the autoexec.bat file and custom config flags. Thanks.

zsamz i really cant understand how u got ur crucials to 1240mhz on 2.02v either u have the most amazing set of crucials or an amazing board. becuase i have 3 sets of double sided crucials and at 1170 mhz all of them need atleast 2.30v and with 4sticks i currently need 2.35v .
i have tweaked phase delay and gtls and other volts but if i even slightly lower my vdimm i loose stability on memory.
id say u probably have the best set of crucials ever made.
