I tried an Opty 838 on my K8N-DL the other day. Was told it was an ES, nothing written on the IHS. Turned out to be another non-existing model

AMD also made a few Opty 866's (no, not 4 GHz single cores - 2.2GHz 1mb x2 dual cores). In Core Temp it said Dual Core Prototype or something Made in week 42/04

I have a couple of new 0626's here, btw. Tried a sucky one last week, sold it instantly (3ghz @ 1.35v or something). 0632 was half-decent. Got 3750 or so out of it at 1.52v I think. Not WR material, but still fun to play with

but that chip is very strange...
0631 sucks very hard, it hasn't got a single WR. 4000+ was 0631 playground for a while, but then your chip kicked it hard And 3800+... well, you know

My 4000+ 0631 sucks under cool air...3.4 ghz...will try more with single stage but i think cold bug could stop me.

I see some nice brand id: 20 --> its the same like mine 4000+ alias opteron 8138 And the other one has a 40 so high...

By the way: i cant overclock my opteron 8138 with some settings in bios...everytime i change a little bit in bios the pc never starts after boot. all 4 leds are red. i can only overclock when i start the pc after cmos clear and run under windows with default settings...thats stupid.

    OMG that tray is tempting...

    Anyway, Almost 4GHz

I have validations up to 4024Mhz but they're corrupt

Done on a Vapochill and 1.66v. The Vapo really can't handle the heat load though :\

    1489898G60463
    1489598G60098
    1490078G60232

The middle one could be interesting, VERY close to one of gianni's better chips

Thanks man. That 4024MHz was 256k spi stable, so this chip has plenty go left in it. The RAM was at 2.1v

It's time you got better cooling and played with us

    - Aha, thanks for answer. When you are talking about 256k SuperPi stable, is 256k enought to show the performance or is the test to short?

Sorry, I mixed up CPUs, this one was known to be decent but not the one I was talking about. It's a bit to short, it was just to see if the chip had much more left. If it BSoD'd or locked up instantly I'd know it's at the limit.
