    If I do get the mcw30, does the stock mounts work or I have to buy myself another mounting equipment?

    Stock does the job, got mine hard-mounted and it fits great!

    Not all that sure mate, I didn't have an X38 board to hand to try it out on, only the X48.

    i turned the mounting plates over, then used the amd mounting kit that it came with
    5930k, R5E, samsung 8GBx4 d-die, vega 56, wd gold 8TB, wd 4TB red, 2TB raid1 wd blue 5400
