Quit your job and test in NOW, soldier!

Did you test the paint's resistance with multimeter like someone suggested?

your first layer should be an insulating silicone conformal coat. Use "Techspray Fine-L-Kote™ SR Silicone Conformal Coating" as a thick base coat. then i wouldnt worry so much about the black paint reacting with anything. just remember some paints have fine metal particals in them and can cause shorts.

use a very cheap CPU/GPU, small hard drive and only one stick of ram to test with. that way if you blow anything you can say Doh! instead of o-shiznit

Also you might want to overclock that CPU a little to simulate a larger load on your MOSFETs and see if it causes any heat issues before you put some beasty quad core or something in there.

Just remember, everything might work just fine during testing, but stuff may fail durring normal opperation or when under load.

If something does blow You Must Ask Yourself
    How Flamable Is That Paint?

That is something i would test also

you have a real chance for a fire hazard so please be careful if not for the mosfets or ics then perhaps the heatsink you decided to spray paint...

    HS is not painted.
How hot do the transistors get? I cant see that paint as being that flammable. Once its dry it should be fine. The vapor is what is flammable I believe, not the actual paint.

i think it should be fine.. i didnt paint the heatsink and i didnt really spray a ton of paint on the pwn area.
the paint shouldnt be flammable since its already out of the container.]

ok guys.. i have been busy at work and with my new computer build. I havent had time to mess with this but im just now painting one of my cases black inside... im gonna gather all of my stuff and start tesing this motherboard. Im think of making a completely black computer with a few UV reactive parts.. it should turn out pretty nice with my choice of case

will post pics as soon as i get some more parts in the mail.

The 45$ AM2-board before painting must be the fugliest mobo I've ever seen. Green and yellow? Looks like Lego bricks to me..

Good luck. Maybe the paint will be good as insulation in dice/ln2 setups? No more nail polish and vaseline for insulation yay!
