People were more interested in SLI on Intel boards when nVidia was in the lead and any serious gamer was using nVidia hardware. Now someone looking for the ultimate in performance is likely going ATI anyway.

It's nice to have the option of SLI on an Intel board, but it would be a lot nicer if the nF 200 chip did not have to be involved.
