    Asus Z7S-WS mods

Below the heatsink at the top of the board is an Intersil ISL6535CRZ chip: http://www.intersil.com/data/fn/FN9255.pdf

To the left of the FB-DIMM slots (next to notches) is an Intersil ISL6568CRZ chip: http://www.intersil.com/data/fn/FN9187.pdf

Below this one and to the right a bit is another Intersil ISL6535CRZ chip.

To the right of the end of the top PCI-E slot is also an Intersil ISL6535CRZ chip.

I'll get some pics up when I get a chance to if someone doesnt beat me to it.

EDIT - Gonna drop this info here as well for now just in case someone happens upon it

vcore is apparently adjustable with a QX cpu installed but I have not seen this confirmed. AMIBCP 3.13 will open the bios.

INQ review with QX cpu's, says vcore is adjustable... http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...e-inqpressions

Excellent idea, I'd love to adjust Vcore and especially VTT. Would kick my 5420's to 450 at least and the 5440's.. well, let's just say it would be damn great to have

Yeah and also VTT.. giorgioprimo posted in my Z7S thread that Vcore and VTT are indeed available in Bios using QX9775 CPUs... Vcore setting doesn't seem to work properly though, it's eitehr stock or max (1,6V) - not healthy

that might just be a bug with the 302 bios unless the INQ's was bugged as well and they didnt realize.

I've heard the VCore settings are indeed adjustable, but it requires some serious hacking, like modded BIOS plus hardware intervention. I haven't done this myself, only heard of people who have.

I wouldn't put it past them. After all, they didn't realize performance sucked with the snoop filter option missing either
