nice work. 4ghz for $79 with only 320 FSB sounds like an easy win for everyone.

    GOOD JOB! Nice pics too

Nice results Venom , though at normal voltage levels ( sub 1.5) it does 4ghz max ? and MAX FSB on these babies ? thx for the reply
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

sub 1.5 not enough for prime @4Ghz, my chip very want high voltage but temp is very cool.

Costa Rica chips generally don't overclock as well as ones from Malaysia/Philippines. I read that somewhere a long time ago, but I'm sure the difference is negligible (needing slightly more volts for the same OC, for example).

Must be most of the pentium 4 were manufactured in costa rica, so since this is a pentium dual core, im guessing the costa rica fab just needed small modifications to manufacture this chip. That's my theory, not sure.

Nice but i don't think that someone will run those voltage even for long benching using air or even water , moreover this chip can't do 4 GHz with 1.5v so for 24/7 operation a 3.2-3.5 GHz is more realistic with vcore 1.4 (max) , So people think twice before your purchase
2600K working in 4.8 GHZ so far

    2600k @(4600 Ghz) 1.42v : (under water)
    Asus B2 mobo
    4 GiG DDR 2400 MHZ
    GTX 570 @ 1.063v ( 910/1820/2001 Mhz) .(under water).
    1020 W PSU

Yes, I agree too, I think it match with cheap mobo&memory for value system.

because it can't run at high fsb but it had a lot of multiple(12.5)

So even with a low multiplier it can't handle a fsb higher then 400mhz? That kinda sucks

Still thinking I might pick one of these up and pair it with a p43 for a low budget 3.6 oc. Was originally thinking a TP45 but I guess that'd be a waste.

uhm, just so you know, there is no way in hell that your only running 20c on a chip iwth 1.7v into it.
sorry its jsut not possible not on air or standard water.
chilled water yes. or if the heatsink was covered in a block of ice. but not standard air.

and fully loaded. that chip would be pushing 80-85c.. if not 90-100c it would literally explode from the heat and voltage

those are a 65w cpu and those temps are just not possible on air, argue it all you want, its not happening.
    http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...px?sSpec=SLAY7

go take any other 65w cpu and slam it with 1.7v
    1) its 45nm and it will die
    2) its 65w and will produce heat of such magnitude to make the Devil in Hell call you and wonder why its so hot in your room
    3) no heatsink on the market can transfer that much heat, especially not the TRUE with its massive humped base.

Never seen a chip that said Costa Rica on the IHS,
wow you must be pretty new to the Intel chips. almost all the Pre Core2Duo chips were costa rica fabbed chips.

Can you see my coretemp? 39C sir.

    I bench in air condition room, ambient 20-22C, Ultra120EX W/Double Fan ~4000RPM & MX-2 Thermal compound.

I don't want you to believe me as long as you can try it.

regarding the average temp all over (rainy season) Thailand @35°, it would be something like very difficult to verify the 39° @ ~ 1.7Vcore @air, especially during SuperPi and other benches are running

sometimes its a lucky moment to touch alt+print and saving screens before getting black screen going concern that torture for the chip........

Interesting results. I'm looking forward to e5200 vs e7200 benchmarks.
