    X8600 ??? Fake Or Not

I came accross this CPU-Z piccie on a german forum, Intel bringing out another Extreme dual core ? that would surprise me, but one at 12 multi so giving 4ghz out of the box...

piccie feels weird, typos,... so prolly another myth busted...

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Nice find Leeghoofd
Very odd for them to do this? so soon before Nehalm I wonder how much headroom it has? Volts are a little high for stock.

I think fake, Intel will know their other 8xxx chips do 4g as well and there is no market for a xtreme edition. Don't think they will sell to allot off people, most oc'ers like the higher fsb and the new chipsets are showing they support running those high fsb's so I even wonder if the headroom on a open multi chip would be that much better.

well. the duals opperate higher freq's than quads. having this unlocked multy you can run at high freq with good choice of DDR3 Ratio that works best.

imagine this one on Ramapge extrme

Just because they make es doesn't mean mainstream will ever see it. I'm sure intel has all kinds of neat little toys that will never be released.

Man, can you imagine an unlocked E8600 EO stepping chip. Talk about overclocking FTW! Oh well, Intel has already stated that there will be no more extreme dual cores, not that they couldn't change their minds, but I think they are trying to push the market towards quad and above, but still, you can dream.
