    DFI JR P45-T2RS Engineering Sample

I little box arrived for me from Taiwan the other day - what could it be?

An engineering sample of the new DFI mATX board

Let's take a tour shall we?

This is the ES board so the final heatsinks will be different

Single phase PWM for the RAM

6 SATA 6 USB IDE FDD 2 COM Ports

    4 Phase PWM power design

I/O Panel - jumper is for BIOS reset

    Clockgen IC

    PWM Controller

    HD Audio via Realtek ALC885

    Bios screens to follow.

Performance wise....600FSB is not a problem

Some Crossfire action care of two HD4870 cards - how about 24.5K 3DMark06 on a mATX box

Foxconn just manufactures parts and stuff. All boards will pretty much have foxconn made components.

Excuse me while I go fap. Unless Asus can answer this board with something equal, this is going to be my next board. Please tell me memory settings allow tRC of 45 or higher. I believe ITOX and DFI are one, and that box looks like a generic ITOX box. We use ITOX boards, unfortunately they suck and are like the exact opposite of their DFI bretheren.

    Thanks for the pics.

I do hope DFI doesn't go down now that Foxconn have bought some of the minds . This and the new DK revisions are fantastic signs.

Foxconn and DFI are unrelated companies. The socket protector is sourced from Foxconn and is why it bears their name. ITOX is a U.S affiliate of DFI and has been since 1987. DFI sells their ACP boards under the ITOX name.

I heard that Foxconn offered more money and a fair few DFI staff went. I could have heard something about nothing though

Looks nice! I'd like to know how it handles quads though...one reason why I decided not to wait for this board and went for a P5Q-D
