Yes, avoid it like the plague. I picked one up 3 days ago and a hair line crack started to appear on the top plate. They should realize that install tubing can be aggressive and the tops should only be made of solid metal - not plastic.

I think you're right. I ordered from NCIX as the revised version and by the looks of it, I have the cheapo version. If this damaged my videocard, I'm going to freak out at NCIX for giving me the original version.
