Have you tried clearing the CMOS the "hard way" ? ( remove all the power plugs from the motherboard, discharge it, and remove the CMOS Battery for 5 minutes )

    Problem Description
Graphics scramble and PC (mostly) locks up after about 5-70 minutes of gaming (Gears of war, COD4, Tom Clancy's Rainbow six: Vegas, etc.). It runs fine on 3DMark06 (5x loops on each test without freezing)...
PC freezes occasionally while surfing the net too.
Sometimes requires 2 or 3 reboots to get past POST (mostly on cold boot).
I'm a little nervous of playing with settings anymore as I've had to install XP 32bit four times and vista x64 3x times due to data corruption :-(

I don't know... but I don't have the necessary time to work on the S2E nowadays.
Maybe later on after I finish some reviews and other daily life stuff that piled up.

when useing the pc it still freze under age of conan, warcraft 3, and while looking at youtube and a singel time under ide system.

any idea what might be worng? i am getting tired of having all thise problems with a whole new pc. do you think it maby is a hardware problem like falty ram, MB or CPU? or maby some of the hardware can't work together so maby it is worth replacing a item.

happy for any help you guys can give.

    Problem Description
I'm trying to get a stable overclock. I just complete OCCT stability test with a "stable" after default one hour test. I however had a nvidia software message of raid failure midway in the test. Memoy timing are loose, should be 8-8-8-26. I am trying to get rid of raid failure message before working on memory timings. Any suggestions. I notice your CPU voltage is very low? But you have left many of my setting on auto.

I am starting to think it might be the rams that are the problem, I have not been able to run a full memtest C 1-3-5, the pc always freez half way.

I maby it is becouse the ram i got dont like the striker 2 extreme so i have been thinking of maby buying a new pair or rams to replace them. any ideas ? I am running out of ideas and I am starting to get sick of having used all the monny on a whole new pc and i can't even use it becouse it is so damn unstable.

    Problem Description
Now stable after one hour of OCCT, a couple rounds of Call of Duty and a few hours of surfing the net. This weekend will reduce memory timing to manufactors spec. Would like some suggestions on how to fine tune my bios setting especially since your sample has lower cpu voltages.

Actually it should be ( now ) from BIOS 0801 and up.
So every BIOS newer than 0801 is fine as well.

i tried to run 2 instances of orthos and in 4 hours it freezes

Tried upping the volts on the ram to 1.9 memtest runs for 14 hours before it freezes and orthos runs for

6 before it does. no errors anywhere just a frozen screen After upping the mems to 1.9 i tried upping

the NB to 1.44 but same results on orthos didnt run memtest on it tho. anything over 1630 and i cant

    Now stable ALMOST

I thought I had it completely stable. I have competed OCCT twice, MemTest two complete cycles with no problems. I played a few rounds of Call of Duty 4 and all went well until I exited the game. Then I saw one of those raid failure messages again. I have a Raid 0 two raptors, and a Raid 1 mirror two Hitachi 750s. Anyone have suggestions of adjustments to assist with eliminating this error message. My bios setting are a few post above this message.

    Thanks

    Problem Description
I recently build this machine and i had been constantly and randomly freezing, until i found this thread and i changed the settings you marked in red, and now it freezes less constantly, but still randomly. Sometimes it will run like a champ for 10 hours, or even 2 days without a freeze, but then all of a sudden something will set it off and it'll freeze 5 times in 10 minutes, and then run smoothly for hours immediately after. I have had this problem for a little over 3 months now and have fiddled a good amount trying to get lucky, but after your settings helped so significantly, i am hoping you can help me get this machine running like it should, thanks a lot.

Also, i have 2 more sticks of ram that i would like to snap in there, but when i do, it usually freezes during the boot, idk if vista x64 or this board support 8gb or ram, but just thought i'd ask because you seem to be a wizard. Thanks again

OMG lol i see many CPU voltage with 1.36, cpu is HOT no ? XD

anyway i have this stiker 2 extreme with a Q9450 and 4 day's for find no freeze.. not normal to buy at this price and have some problem..
before i O/C the config i can't play or just use the OS ,imagine.....
my solution for me is simple.
2.66 to 2.8 ghz and cpu voltage 1.15, i use AI o/c but CPU voltage is to much 1.36 ^^ so i juts O/C 5%
    DDR 3 patriot(cas 7) 2x2 GO at 560 mhz...original is 533 mhz
    flash to 0901 for BIOS.

atm all work fine i use vista ultmate 64 bits.
    and a 9800 GTZ Zotac.
temp CM 50 and CPU 40/42

    Temps

I may try to lower by voltage some but currently on a cool summer day my CPU is idling at 33 degrees and under OCCT stability test comes close to 60 degrees. Before I trying decreasing the voltage at current OC, I may try for the 4 MHz first.
