E8600ES:quick LN2 run and initial tests aircooled

    Arrived some days ago

Quick run with 4L of LN2
Not find a good setup for push my BO over 575FSB with liquidcooled NB
Maybe I need LN2 on chipset too
Time is bad, CL @ 6 and no optimizations.

Today my P5E3WS-PRO has arrived from RMA
I must admit that Pre 45nm bios is really fast!
    Never try before now

Quick run on Orthos under Tuniq 120

    Now I'm running Orthos @ 4152mhz with 1,24v

Next week Biostar Tpower I45+Crucial 8500 Tracer
See you in the next days with more aircooled results

    wow thats awesome
what air cooling do you have?
As Los Alamos director J. Robert Oppenheimer watched the demonstration, he later said that a line from the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita came to mind:
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Test director Kenneth Bainbridge in turn said to Oppenheimer, "Now we are all sons of b**ches." wiki

Nachty, could you use that CPU with >1.5Vcore air >1.75V on LNē cooling?

A number of people report that it BSOD when going over those voltage tresholds.

    Stable 4.7ghz on air....... AWESOME!

These are very tempting for me, we should see stable daily drivers at 5ghz with water.

    I'm so tempted.....

    This is a 4.85Ghz 1,45v: (room Airconditioned @ 19C)

1,51V set from bios but I will retry with lower voltages

I guess soon we will see wolfdales at 5.5GHz with air. Intel is really pushing LGA775 last gold chips out before Nehalem.

Nice cpu u got there , since ES (E0) chip overclock in average about 300 mhz better than a good C0 , we should expect about 100-200 mhz from retail chip as higher overclock , 4 ghz air will be finally for every one (meat with low volt) while lucky will get as high as 4.7 ghz
2600K working in 4.8 GHZ so far
