    Darn, if I knew that I would never ever modify my card.
    I mean, dont they know that 3 party cooling is better than stock?
    And adding more power and run the card faster is better value for their cards?

    I mean, they should encurage us to run it faster and faster

    hahaha wait, you seriously didnt know you void your warranty with third party cooling, man that sucks, but its not all bad as long as you are careful with your card it wont die, they are pretty sturdy components

    Can I increase the voltage through the bios without a voltmod?

    Why saying no? OK, haven't seen anyone doing it on 4870, but I've seen many people having higher OCs by using MSI BIOS with higher voltages. OK, could be something else, like a tweak in BIOS.. but seems to work for 4850 cards.
    (EDIT: Oh, and ofcourse it's limited to some 1,2 volts, can't go as high as hardmods can..)

    bios volts has no effect on 4870, i tested with digital multimeter, and avg'ing
