I completely agree.

This is something that's been bothering me too. In recent discussions with Nils, it was his idea to incorporate a laptop slot loading drive into the lines. Like Gab says and a few people have already done, there's an adapter card available to make it work in a PC.

While working on the visual concept it became apparent that in this case, two were better than one.

Good.
Just make it symmetrical.

One thought: How about dust with opticals placed like this?
And even more important: cleaning the machine.

Wow. The 'toast' concept looks great. Maybe not that easy to realize, but who doubt Charles won't be able to make it?

And dust should not be a problem, slot-in drives are made in such a way that dust cannot enter them, even when put vertically (I do not see how to explain that, though )

I am not certain since Charles answered you... but if this was also addressed to me, here is the dark version (thanks to Charles, obviously, this is just another ripoff of his webpage, all credits go to him )

edit: removed. Looking at it more in detail, the dark one was actually poorly made, and thus did not reflected the true murderMod spirit :p If I have time I'll try to do it again.

Charles, if you prefer these wallpapers not to be spread on the internet (which would be understandable, since they are not strictly speaking your creation), feel free to ask to have them removed

Here is a Pi-Thon hose lock. The design is very simple and uses 3 parts: the 2 locking pieces with fine threads and a collar that does the tightening.

While those are nice, wouldn't it be better to use compression fittings then?

The places that have the barb positions too close to be able to use compressions still wouldn't be able to use those either cause of the additional outside diameter amount it adds.

There's really not much to photograph of the process - unless you want a pic of me sitting in front of my computer, designing it in 3d... or another of me standing over the laser cutter, watching it cut the material... I'm pretty sure those aren't pictures you want.

Amusing we can pull it off, it'll probably only be featured in the one-off, pure|murderbox build. The optical toaster concept just brought that project to a new level of challenge. One worth the effort though... especially if we can build in a small speaker that makes the sound when toast pops up when it's done.

i totally missed this thread.

YOU CAN NOT REVERSE THE FUSION. Why?
Because the water will GO SIDEWAYS though the 4 outlets and hit the Matrix PINS in the middle on a OFF setting.

The block was NOT ment for this PERIOD. If you cant fit the applicaiton you change blocks bro. You dont change the way the block was designed for. If i was a customer, id be very unhappy you flipped the inlet and outlet on that fusion.


Your work is godly i admit, one of the cleanest builds ive seen, however this fusion mistake is a big nonono in h2o.
Traced even back the swiftech storm when noobies were messing it up.

Our first concept involved one blink of good - two for bad. Sadly this plan fell flat due to the fact that this fish doesn't have eyelids.
