Great idea with the Nano-res© but I'm wondering how do you fill this ?

im going to drill and tap another hole on top of the res

and I did notice the 'rising sun' in each picture, but to me that looks cool,tho after what you said I gave it some thought and how about wrapping the case with the rising sun, so its a complete sun?? just another Idea, I really want to see the outside match the 'WOW!' factor of the inside... and maybe, and this is a MAYBE, like the sun you use in your pictures, have it missing lil bits and pieces as if it was splattered with something that ate through it?? just a thought

Hey guys, small update

got my one of my leds in, check it out







im still working on the case idea, so most
all are up in the air. well see when i get around
to that part. for now interior is a priority
im going to pic up paint today, my feser
tube comes in on monday, hopefully well have
the interior painted and done by then so i can focus
on the front and the case body

I'm digging those ribbon led strips big time. My supplier sells them and I have always wondered about them. They appear to give off a nice amount of illumination - not too much, not too little. After seeing how you've implemented them, I'm a hafta get me some.

Looking forward to the next update with the Feser tubing.

yea the strip LED is very convenient 12vdc + 3M tape on the back
i should be getting my next set of LEDs on monday as well as the feser.

i might split up the strip so i can use it on multiple areas but the even
glow maybe too appealing for me to want to change it.

i bought my paint yesterday. weather isnt to good and i cant get time
in the booth anymore.. (car crash season?) so im going to build a small
cardboard box booth lol no i just need a clean place to spray

hey guys, got a the rest of my LEDs today and
my feser tubing should be at my shop when i get
home. hopefully i get to painting today. i need to
find my rivet gun first. im not sure if i should
un rivet it or not. i need to do some more fabricating
before dismantling the case thats for sure.

but tomorrows update should be some what exciting

Love the idea, evil, though I have to admit I prefer the look of the rising sun, not the whole sun. Maybe part of the sun showing in the bottom left of case front, with the rays eminating as you have them there

Evil I would like to see what Statts has suggested, just so we have something to compare against, which will maybe lead to more ideas....
ohhh and please tell me your gonna wrap the entire case with the rays....

What if you had the sun in a corner which wrapped around onto the side and continued up the side of the case!!! THAT WOULD LOOK AWSOME!

update:

havent updated in a while, not much progress been super busy
but progress is progress. not much to say, the case design is
still up in the air, my main goal right now is to finish the interior
which proves to be an issue untill i can get all the water cooling
parts in. i did receive the feser tubing and all my LEDs, just dont
have enough time in the day to get it all done at once. i spent a
few hours making that dual 45mm fan mount, did it twice, broke
the first one, this one came out alot better but im unhappy with
one of the big circle, my vice squeezed it too much and it warped
the shape so its a slight oval...

be careful of passive cooling those VRM modules on that video card, mine would overheat and shutdown.

i agree with you though i doubt that the card would over heat with 3 120mm fans blowing towards it . at least i hope

awww man... i just bought another mcw60 without thinking.. i need single slot blocks for the 4870s or i can use my soundcard... ahhh



but the board is SEXY, ill post the picture tonight, i was just to busy yesterday.

edit:

also need the blocks to be single slot so i can still fit the fans inside.. if not i got some realy BIG modding ideas in mind to try and keep the things inside...
