    surfing and mucking about stable..

    havent benched anything yet..

    one note.. the EO temps are kindda stuck on core 1 with min 32.. but core 2 moves freely...
    second.. the vtt/gtl setting of previous e8500/e8400.. now is redundant..

    Looks like Intel still hasn't figured out how to make a sensor that is accurate at reporting low idle temps but at 5000 MHz, who the hell cares!

    Try running RealTemp and see what the Test Sensor feature shows.
    Nice OC.

    Didn't think this was possible on AIR. My new daily settings with my new E8500.

    E8500 - Q814A746 - 4500Mhz @ 1.39v (1.24v FSB VTT)
    DFI LP LT X48-T2R
    Thermalright Ultra 120A

    I know people will start with, Orthos for 5 hours but this is enough for me with those temps. Will never keep it loaded like that in real life anyway.

    Intel i7 920 d0 @ 4410MHz @ 1.36v :: Prolimatech Mega Shadow :: Gigabyte EX58-UD5 F9K :: 6GB Mushkin XP3-15000 :: HIS 5870 :: Corsair 1000W :: HannsG 27.5" :: Lian Li V1010B

    That's a nice OC especially for air! But surely 87c is faaaar too hot! I thought 65c was the max temp for tese chips!

    72°C is the max temp for 45nm CPU's but see Tj.Max here, it's 105°C but that's incorrect. For 45nm CPU's is better to use Real Temp or if you're using CT/Everest than set the Tj.Max at 95°C.

    lol... the 87c is with coretemp
    Still a little hot for my liking, and the vcore is high too but nice clock never the less. As far as max temp, as long as it's stable the temp isn't a huge issue.
