Yeah I blew the $600 tax rebate on pc gear too Moose. The last of it went when I saw those $290 9800GX2's at newegg thursday. I have more vid cards than I need already but I couldn't stop myself.

I got to many cpu's,2 months ago I got 2 8400's at compusa when they price them wrong at 139.99. I think I am going to put one on the x48t when I get it back and I was looking at a Intel x48 MB to put my x3360 in.

    thanks
funny thing, the board is only 3 days old, and was only turned on today for the 5 minutes it took to be updated (qflash)...

whos the bios maker ? award, phoenix or AMI ?

perhaps a recovery disk would work

Bottomline: DO NOT FLASH YOUR PRECIOUS WITH BIOS F5.

Here is a fixed F5 bios.

ALERT: for those who had a bad flash try the below...you might make it into the bios.

they bring up a good point, short out (Clear) CMOS while trying to start it to see if the 2nd bios tries to cut in...might work...even if you get into the bios, you can reflash with a previous bios.

How could you do that, just start with a jumper on cmos and leave it on to see if the backup kicks in or what?

sooo, does it work or not?

Mail leaves in one hour. I still have time to pick her up, but not to mail her again if it fails...

edit: what does he means when he says the board keeps files on the HD? HD the harddrive?

i was able to get into a malfunctioning bios on another system by putting the jumper on clear first and then power up, hit the "delete" key to hopefully enter into the bios...if it goes there, you can possibly do the Q-flash again using a previous older bios.

Oh, ok. I won't waste my time then. I'll let gigabyte sort it. I have another board to send anyway so I'll save on shipping.
