Go the speakers [reminds me of school days ].

Your build is coming along nicely. A red interior with a white exterior would look great so long as you don't have too many windows [or the red will become too dominant].

i use to do alot of speaker mods, i have 2 backpacks running off decent size amps 10w 2 channels off of 12vdc with 2w speakers, pretty loud and fun to run around it. the head turning effect is cool

next for me is a ghetto boom box, im sure you guys have seen those, but i want to put in a few 6" subs and CCFLs anyways red interior might be nice, well see about that

more speakers!? maybe depends, and the lower bay cover is the optical drive

though i wish i could just make a double bay cover and just cover up the drive
the bay cover over the drive looks tacky, and i dont want that.. i wish i had
gotten the a manual mill like i intended too.. anyways

the system wouldnt boot yesterday (bad PSU cable, one if the pins keep getting
loose) so i took that as an opportunity to tear the rig open and redo a few things
first the D5 is out of the picture, obviously the 8800GTX, and the HD being mounted
in the 5.25" drive bay, migrated the drive to the original HD caddy and added
another so theres a total of 2x WD320AAKS hopefully the raid control on the
board will suffice for the task of putting them in a raid 0. so the HD are in and
i got just enough room to mount a DDC, so heres the update guys.

    C&C welcome

still need opinions on the previous update

    1. red tube or red coolant
    2. red interior or black interior
oh and the tracers are coming in today newegg is like down the street
from me, well at least where i work

    cheers

Well, my chances of getting the rad (mcr220) and fans both internal in that same spot look to be getting slimmer. I was planning on mounting the mcp350 with xspc top the same place you have. Looks like my rad might be going external.

I hope you have some good tracers there. As long as you don't push them hard like everyone else I'm sure they will survive in your build.

so i ordered red feser tubing and a bunch of red LEDs,
got some awesome ideas for the top, something ive
    always wanted to do.

i present to you "the rising sun!"

but obviously in a nicer and more linear manner

so the rising sun will be cut out, then layer with some red
acrylic which is then LED lite from behind, will double as
as a power light or HD status with a switch

also i want to fab a double bay cover which hides the drive
and the top bay can house the speakers in a nicer fashion

hopefully if all goes well, ill be adding another tool to my
    collection, a scroll saw.

evil, how did you use the drive bay cover on your DVD drive? Obviously you ground down the locking tabs, but how do you get the eject button to work?

size always matters! i might WC the 4870 if i can afford to
might have to sell off a few things to get that going well see

i took off the original face plate but left the tray cover, hot glued the bay
cover on to that, then extended the switch with a small plastic rode, the
bay cover is flexible enough to allow me to push the button. you can see
all that on the first page.

hey pvtdonuts, yea that was part of the original plans, but im going to leave
the rad fins black, im just going to put a mesh filter over it and paint that white
    as well.

i hate ordering from PPCS.. takes soo long to ship to me good thing its just
tubing and LEDs, if they mess that up im definitely switching e-retailers

id love to order from petras but i cant afford the tax though it would
be here next day most of the time. i didnt have time to take pics yesterday
but i did do a bit of fabricating, not much but some sort of update.

    cheers

I love it all, besides the rising star idea...... sorry I have never liked the Rising Sun, nor will I, Personal Taste really, but I believe you could be a little more creative then a Rising Sun.... come on look at what you have already made happen!
Personal Opinion of course, and not hear to offend, just throwing out I think Evil is better then a Rising Sun

@gazmtk: sorry man but i love the rising sun, if you havent noticed
its in the top left of every picture thanks for your opinion tho

@charles_h: hey, thanks for stopping by as for the japanese characters
i may added a few, maybe some jap kanji for "day and night" just where
    to put it

    yesterdays update:

Made the micro res that pvtdounts so kindly sent me,
um even more micro after alittle cutting and sanding
and glue i had a mini micro res only bad thing is when
bonding the 2 layers of plexi i did not apply sufficient pressure
to the center quick enough before it bonded.. everything else
was perfect but the center of the 2 layers is obviously screwed..
i may attempt to repair it if i can find someone with a bent sander
so i can just sand it off instead of attempting to cut it.. unless someone
    has a ban saw

added a back plate behind the pump to hide the ugliness of
the frame, and added a plate in the back to cover up the
hole where the tubes enter. contemplated weather or not to
added a fill port, so i started drill it out, needed to pick up
my 1"+ step bit at work.

    Todays update:

So i started off with changing out the fan on the PSU, i
love this fan, and its white anyways needed more flow
over the mobo and this was a tremendous improvement over
the ADDA fan in the PSU, which is another favorite fan of
mine, really good pressure coming from those fans. anyways
just wired it directly to the 12v line, and added the fan controller
to the back if ever needed

got some more goods, sponsors dropped off a much better
sound card and its got a red LED in it! anyways
it didnt clear the MCW30 so i had to remove the bottom screw
which made the cover bend so i used a ziptie inplace of the
screw untill i can find a very low profile m3.5 screw

some small bits here and there, installed a hiper red 80mm fan
to the HD cage, its not bad, its quiet and expected CFM coming
    from such a small/thin fan.

made new sata power cables, short ones, and got some short
sata cables, things are coming together.

leak tested the res, no leak but some spillage.. over filled the res
and it dripped all over my ram and HD no big, there out
drying now and should be fine.

    cheers
