i was able to do it on q6600 and e8500... and that is actually pl7 (8 w/ pullins enabled, setting directly to 7 however results in no post) stability wise i found that 333 strap worked the best.
as i said before 1:1 is currently f'ed, changing the strap however allows better pl and faster ram. now conversely, really high fsb gives a nice bandwidth and latency that i could not achieve on x38 and x48 due to fsb limitation. 1:1 strap really starts to shine @ 550+ fsb. i guess i should re-rest on x38 and x48 when i get home as my previous maximus was fsb limited to 530ish. i can check 550fsb + pl7 (or 6 w/ cas4) to see where highfsb + pl start to make heavy gains. its going to take another week to sort through my dfi bios again to test thisi must have been high and not uploaded the screen shots to photobucket...
