im very proud to finally get a time worth posting here
biostar tpower p45
crucial ballistix 8500 pushing cas4 at 600mhz, allows me to hit pl=9 also
maxmem 512, pagefile 512, spi tweaker, all the tweaks i know hehe

@youngpro
great time m8.
Waza settings ?
WTG James, just back down 4 MHz and you'll officially displace hipro. Now imagine a setup like that paired with DDR3 at 1000 CAS 7.![]()
i am not as efficient as pro but very close anyways
gotta work on it some more
11.xx category

ill try rerun tonight at sub 3600mhz see how it goes,
well waza i used 1024kb size and 512mb waza size to match my swapfile and maxmem value
man i cant keep up with 3oh6, that guys blazing, this is my entries into the low clock challenge
my efficiency is embarassing for 8.xx category so i wont enter =p

10.xx

wow, you guys have been tearing it up, huge update done!
@youngpro...it is very nice to see you here and what a way to kick off your low clock career, nice work on toppling Hipro and Kielbasa Squad. oh, and your just using the wrong chipset if you want to catch me
@gbglassen...with clocks and memory like that, your time should be much lower. do some hunting for SPi tweaks and you will be giving that time slot a run for its money
@Kielbasa Squad...awesome stuff as always and yes, competing with this 790i without ridiculous FSB is all but a futile effort...E8x00 FTW

i'll never even touch spi on nvidia based chipset mb, for sure. nvidia don't likes me even more than i hate it
.
wait for rma'ed p5e3 premium now... i'll try again play a bit with fsb and x48.
you're lowclock spi king 3oh6![]()
Daaamn you got G.Skills that can do 1100 too??? Stop hogging all the good stuff.
P.S. I intend to return to this thread whenever I get my hands on suitable hardware.![]()
as always, thatnks George, but i put in my time with duds before getting these two kits...but i have to agree. everything this 790i touches lately seems to do 1100MHz+ relatively stable. if only it would do the 595FSB+ that others seem to be doing with un-modded boards and stock cooling. i guess i can't have everything.
oh, and the above slot can be improved i think. looking at the read bandwidth i realized i should be able to get that about 400MB/s faster at the exact same clocks. hopefully that will equate to 1 or 2 FSB lower...we'll see shortly![]()
this is the same kit from the 15K Everest thread and as mentioned there a few times, are D9GTR. i likely won't be doing a OC Report of this kit as it really isn't available anymore with these ICs. if i have time, or more importantly the 790i has time, i will put one together. but it is unlikely as that motherboard is a busy bee with newer kits coming in every week it seems.
as for CL8 at 1100MHz being unbeatable, i wouldn't say that as 1000MHz 7-6-5 comes awfully close and at certain clocks i am sure it will come out on top. the P5E3-Premium at or over 500FSB PL6 at 7-6-5 is also a monster but you are limited to the time zones a little bit more with that setup.
@3oh6 Very nice 8m run there! About my 10m run, I know the time kinda sux, but no matter what I tried I couldnt get any lower. I tried alot of different maxmem and Copy waza sizes, tried spi folder in different partitions and on different Hdds but nothing helpedHavent tried Eram though.
Anyways, my cascade has very recently been rebuilt by Tim, and yesterday i fired it up just to try it out. I did a quick test at 538*9,5 on a TOTALLY unoptimezed XP SP3 installation just to test stability, (I was even installing other programs meanwhile heh) and the time was 9m 22s so I will give the 8m time slot a chance instead![]()
Oh, I'm sorry Jody I completely forgot about that magnificent G.Skill D9GTR kit and the 15K everest achievementSo just like you said, no need to review that kit ... I actually think that only some of 'em were equipped with GTRs ... I mean, there wasn't a specific period of time that G.Skill brought this kit to the users equipped with GTRs (specific batch), but only some of the kits
(for example I know 3 guys with a JNLs, but hipro has a GTR kit ...)
Newer kits on the way huh ? I hope that all of 'em are capable of doing 1100+ MHz![]()
This is what I got with XP [Not tweaked].
have NOT used maxmem. Need some pointers there.
Thanks you!!
Harshal
hey Harshal, thanks for posting but your a bit off in the goal. we are not trying to get the best time at a said frequency, we are trying to get a said time with the lowest frequency possible. the goal for your above time zone should be 12m 59.xxxs at as low a clock as possible.
hehe ok... dat means more hard work for me
Well its a start for me. I shall try and improve from here as you mentioned
EDIT:
This is tough man... but I am close to it.

Finally.. I got something in 12:XX:XX. But I had to bump speed up a lil
11X and 10X in works.. hope to get it with lowest possible clocks [with MARS].
EDIT: Thanks to my friends Andre_X_X and Pro for guiding me with this![]()
