I have just tested the same version, just 2x2GB, and PI, but basicly same sticks, just double sided and another heatspreader, just posted

seriously though, the 790i is absolutely a freak when it comes to this sort of thing. to be honest, i haven't even pushed that Ballistix kit much and certainly not for just Everest Read. i'm sure it could go much higher, and if i ever have time, it will
    Well...perhaps I should try...

I just got this G.Skill from the Egg, and it is weird, very weird...

It is probably JNM, but it's more capable than the 7 sets of GTR that I've tried...at least at first glance. It will barely make it into windows at 7-6-6 or 7-7-7-18, but will BSOD almost instantly, even at "low" speeds like 970 etc. 7-7-6-21 apparently is what it likes, so it's what it gets. Yes, 7-7-6, not 7-7-7, it loses nothing by dropping tRP down to 6.

And, it SUCKS at low voltages. My heart was sinking as I was initially testing it, as it struggled to pull off even 900 with 1.95v. The more it gets though, the merrier. 2.17v actual will put it at about 1000-1010 almost fully stable. I had the nerve tonight to give it a little more to squeeze what I could. This is 2.25v BIOS set on ref 790i, so probably about 2.22-2.23 actual, a little more than I'm normally comfortable with.

It is very untweaked and the secondaries are garbage. I punched in my normal GTR secondaries and the ram wouldn't POST, so I lazily left everything at auto to start out. Just pumped to finally see some stability well over 1000 CAS 7, which I've been waiting months for.

I don't know what this ram is, I've never seen or heard of anything much like it, but it's definitely good stuff.

yeah, it's just a TR120E with 30c air temp, so
I'm currently fighting with -probably an asus problem- 1T.. 1T 1.76V was stable for 40 minutes, and after a system restart, there were only BSODs here, when i set CR to 1T with 2T it was stable again (for 3hours)

Well here is my sad story
I bought my kit on April 1st of this year and they just died. They were 2x1Gb HZ series. Today while testing stability with P1 and P2 enabled on the Striker II Extreme, one went boom with BSoD, after 15 mins, the other stick went boom with BSoDs too so Im here left with no PC LOL!. Just for the heck of it I decided to check what ICs I had, and something told me I had those SUCKY-@SS D9JNL !!!

I will RMA this pos (third time RMAing G.Skill Rams including DDR2 D9s) and hopefully I will AT LEAST get a D9JNM or GTS (of course GTS would be great ), I will post back soon, btw I cant believe people going 2000Mhz with this sticks! Something I never did probably because of the sucky ICs.

The first Striker was, this one has killed 2 kits as far as I know.
I will make sure to use a fan on top of the rams next time, when I found out they degraded, I took them out and they were burning as hell (at stock).
