    OCZ Vendetta 2 Temps?

My Q6600 running at 3Ghz with a vcore of 1.31 ran at around 57-60c. I used OCCT and let it run for an hour. Ambient room temperature was 80f. Are these acceptable temps? I thought maybe I used too much TIM. I applied two small lines on the two aluminum dividers about 1/3 of the processor width and a lot still squeezed out and ended up on the sides of the chip itself.

EP35-DS3L and the case is a Centurion 5. I just got a new D12SL-12 for the front which should help somewhat.

Ha, yeah, it's supposed to be 80f. I was tired, I needed some sleep!

I was just wondering because I thought they were a bit high for having an HDT cooler.

That sounds about right for that cooler. I ran one for testing on my QX6850 @ 3.67GHz w/1.4125V Vcore and it held 70C with a 70F ambient temperature.

line across the CPU ihs that will intersect with the heatpipes on the heatsink people, not two lines parallel with the heatpipes. All your doing with that is getting it stuck inbetween the aluminum spacers.

I will try that. I did fill in the gaps the best I could before using the two line method though.
